Aan de locatie zal het niet liggen, maar de woning is volledig gedateerd met oude bedden, doorgelegen matrassen, beschimmelde badkamers en versleten zitkamermeubels. Het zwembad vertoonde groene aanslag en een losse slang diende als filtersysteem. De tuin vertoonde een dorre, verwaarloosde indruk. Geen plek, om met een 2 maanden oude baby naar terug te verlangen!

Het spijt ons te horen over uw eigen feedback na uw verblijf in ons eigendom - Cottage Canigou. Vreemd dat je dat moet zeggen, aangezien het pand zeker niet oud is (het is in 2006 volledig gerenoveerd en is sindsdien naar een hoog niveau onderhouden. De gemiddelde leeftijd van de matrassen is ongeveer 4 jaar oud, en wat betreft de opmerkingen over het zwembad - zie 4-sterrenrecensie van andere eerdere gasten. We hebben wel opgemerkt dat uw reservering voor 2 personen was en u met 5 personen en een hond arriveerde...! Iets dat er helemaal niet is ?? We are sorry to hear about your own feedback after your stay at our property - Cottage Canigou. Strange you have to say that as the property is by no means old (it was completely renovated in 2006 and has been maintained to a high standard ever since. The average age of the mattresses is about 4 years old, and as for the comments about the pool - see 4 star review from other previous guests. We did notice that your reservation was for 2 people and you arrived with 5 people and a dog...! Something not quite right there at all ??

Agréable séjour au cottage du canigou. Logement de charme mais attention atypique de par sa disposition et le fait qu'il y est beaucoup de petites marches assez hautes qui pour ma part n'est pas adapté pour de jeunes enfants. Une climatisation dans les chambres aurait été un plus non négligeable. Il faut noter qu'il n'est pas possible de manger à 6 dans la cuisine ce qui ne nous a pas posé de problème car nous n'étions que 4 et nous avons passé notre vie à l'extérieur (espace super agréable et bien entretenu coté jardin comme piscine avec une personne qui venait tous les 2 jours le matin tôt la nettoyer) Nous avons bien profité de notre séjour au cottage du canigou surtout en cette période particulière et super bien musclés nos jambes ! Paul et anette sont hyper réactif et très agréable.

Cottage Canigou is a lovely place to stay in a small village close to the lively towns of Argeles sur Mer and Collioure, the village itself, although quiet, has everything you need, and the locals are really friendly. The shop, bar and restaurant are a short work down the hill and you really get a feel for life in France. We took bikes, which was a great way to get around as there is so much to see in the surrounding area. The cottage has a really homely feel and I loved the layout, the pool and garden are beautifully maintained and we had some really lovely poolside BBQ's. We had a great stay and will definitely go back :)

Cottage Canigou is what we call quaint and quirky, and is a typical Roussillon / Catalan house with plenty of character - which we are pleased you enjoyed. Equally, the fact that it is located on the edge of the village, but just a 5mins walk to the shop, bar and 2 restaurants makes it ideal. It seems you were really energic and by using your bike to get around were able to visit any of the other local villages and truly take in the ambiance of the region. We look forward to hearing from you when you wish to return and to be able to host you again.

Good directions and access information gave us a good start to our few days at Cottage Canigou. The cottage offered comfortable accommodation although the stairs could be a problem with small children or people with mobility concerns. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding villages and the beach at Le Racou.

Thank you for your review and it was a pleasure to host another couple from Australia - this time in Cottage Canigou, which is quaint and quirky. Since your visit we have installed an additional length of handrail for the last remaining 1.3m of staircase. Previous feedback from guests has been that Cottage Canigou has been suitable for families from the age of 2 to 72. You are quite right, Cottage Canigou is not ideal for those with mobility concerns and thanks for pointing this out - it will help us to ensure that potential guests are aware of this, to avoid any disappointment. To assist, floor plans on our website indicate the layout of the stairs and rooms etc. We are glad you had time to visit the local villages and the nearest beach at La Racou (Argeles Sur Mer).
