There were pluses and minuses with this property. We liked the location, with beaches an easy drive and pretty hillside villages around. It was a good size of property with plenty of bathrooms. However, the property and gardens are very tired and in need of TLC. Pool showers weren’t working and neither was the dishwasher. The pool itself was clean but the surround was weedy and dirty. Sun beds are old but serviceable. There are a few assorted umbrellas which are much needed because there is little shade. Only 4 comfortable seats on the veranda. Generally the standard of cleaning was poor as we found items from previous tenants with the dust under beds! PS. The property manager needs to learn to knock to announce arrival!

We had a fantastic week down on the Med. the house is great, with lots of open space, Good bedrooms, an excellent swimming pool and a nearby village with nice restaurants, a bar and a small shop. Collioure and Port Vendres are a must, and the sea / beach is great for all ages - as is the lake at Villeneuve de la Raho for SUP and other water sports. We even made a day trip to Girona (just over an hour in the car), which was well worth a visit. Hoping to make it back to stay her again one day!

Property was very well maintained including the beautifully clean pool. We spent a month there with children and grandchildren of all ages visiting. Very convenient location within a short drive to lovely beaches, good restaurants and interesting towns -not forgetting the wonderful French markets.!

Great location and stunning farmhouse, a true reflection of French life with open plan kitchen leading to a great terrace. The views were stunning over the mountains. Lots of space inside, our room had ensuite with bath but there is also another bathroom with walk in shower across the landing. Local eats and drinks just ten minutes walk and very hospitable. Second visit to these properties and would recommend making the trip, we will be back next year.

We stayed in both cottages ( Alberes and Canigou ). Both were lovely and comfortable , with all the facilities you could need . The pool and garden were lovely and well used by the family. The are is great for walking , and all the little villages welcoming with lovely bars and restaurants. The local restaurants in Villelongue itself were fabulous. Well worth a visit or to celebrate a special occasion as we did . Beaches and history , including the popular Collioure just 10 mins away gave us all the variety and options we needed . A really love spot that we would recommend to anyone... and everyone !

Beautiful home located in a secluded little spot in southern France. The property has been well maintained and the owners have gone to a huge effort to make sure guests feel right at home. Will certainly be returning soon!

With a group of 8 adults and 2 young children we have spent 10 days in Villelongue-dels-Monts in the South of France. In the house Mas D'en Porte we’ve had a very pleasant holiday. A large house with several terraces, well furnished and plenty of comfort such as dishwasher, washing machine, kitchen utensils etc. Great views from the upper terrace on the private swimming pool, the Mountains and on a clear day the sea. Worth a visit is Collioure, a cute town nearby. For those who like to eat oysters, I recommend Maillol Café in St. Cyprien Plage. In that village is a very large market on Tuesday. All in all a nice environment and a more than fine accommodation!

Myself and a group of friends have just returned from our stay celebrating one of our birthdays, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from start to finish. Booking the property was a breeze and Paul was extremely helpful offering us all sorts of tips and advice on the local area. The property was a beautiful large farm house with all the amenities you could wish for. The pool was perfect for a bit of quiet relaxation while taking in the stunning views. A short five minute walk had us into the quaint little town which is host to a bar, restaurants and a shop with boulangerie, there is also a market on a Wednesday. If you want to venture a little further afield all kinds of activities await you only 20minutes drive in any given direction! There's all kinds of beaches with water sports on offer, water parks, go karting and larger towns and cities to explore. An idyllic place for a relaxing getaway but with plenty going on to keep everyone entertained, cant recommend Roussillon Farmhouse enough.

We had a lovely family holiday in the villa, our party included 4 adults and 2 children , there was plenty of room so we didn't feel that we were on top of each other. The outdoor terraces were facing different aspects so you could sit in the sun all times of the day. The pool is a good size and there were plenty of sun loungers for all of us, also a nice big garden for the children to play in. Everything was spotlessly clean so I can highly recommend Mas d'en Porte.

I stayed in mid May 2015. Luxury villa and great location. Paul and Annette were great hosts and I would not hesitate to go back. Highly recommended.
