About the neighbourhood

The cottage is situated in Lohar just minutes from Waterville “An Coirean” “The Little Whirlpool” which nestles between Balinskelligs Bay and Lough Currane. The area has some of the best seafood restaurants in Ireland. There are lots of traditional pubs which serve very good food and provide music and entertainment. The famous “Ring of Kerry”. Walking Trail “The Kerry Way” is just above the cottage. http://www.kerrway.net/ A quite secluded beach that is within minutes of the cottage is suitable for swimming fishing and diving. There are daily trips to the Skellig Rock from Portmagee. Skellig Rock which you can see from the cottage on waking in the morning is a trip that must not be missed.
