Along a pleasant path from the village there is a viewing point that gives an impressive introduction to their scenic grandeur. The gorges offer some fantastic walking with waymarked routes including a path that follows along both sides of the gorges or for the more adventurous a descent into the gorge. La Madeleine is perfectly located for exploring this magical part of the south of France with some of the finest perched villages in Provence including Gordes, Menerbes, Lacoste and Bonnieux within 40km. There are also many other fascinating villages and towns to discover, many with weekly markets, within a very short drive including Reillanne and Cereste.
