The whirlpool works from 1st June to 30 September. Set in a unique position, nestling in the hills surrounding the Itria Valley, looking out over the beaches of the Adriatic and caressed by the magnificent Apulian countryside. Vigne di Salamina consist of Trullo Monte Zuzzu + The Lamia + The Casa D'estate. Trullo Monte Zuzzu is an ancient three-coned trullo, completely refurbished in line with tradition and perfectly suited to the modern visitor’s needs. The Trullo has a living room, a sofa bed with twin mattresses and a double room. Recesses in the walls serve as bedside tables and as a wardrobe, a wooden chest of drawers hides a large recess for suitcases and other bulky objects. A characteristic archway leads from the living room to a cosy kitchen equipped with everything you will need. The trullo is ideal either for a couple or for a family with one or two children, and has a bathroom with shower and a panoramic terrace with furniture. Next to the trullo is a so-called “lamia”, a typical stone construction with a “tortoiseshell” roof, which has a double bedroom with recesses, wardrobe, and shower room. On the outside, there is a lovely terrace with table, chairs and bench carved in stone, shaded by thriving plants such as rosemary, caper and bay. Perched on a natural terrace, amongst ancient olive and citrus groves, the Casa D'Estate, a charming accomodation in perfect Mediterranean style, where the whitewash sets off the natural elegance of the wood and the traditional appeal of the wrought iron, while the windows provide a frame for a view which looks more like a painting. This accomodation has a double bedroom with bathroom and a large patio with a view to the horizon, and is the ideal solution for fully enjoying a spectacle encompassing the true vitality of nature. Outside shower secluded among the olive branches; a splendid barbecue next to a large Mexican agave plants; a large whirlpool for 7 people, that works starting from 1st June to 30 September, on the panoramic roof terrace. A professional chef is available to come and cook a top-quality typical Apulian meal for you; cleaning service with weekly linen change; more frequent cleaning and linen change on request. Here, since time immemorial, Man has adapted the land to his own needs, while respecting its original character. Here, the fruits of their labours have now transformed into an invitation to come and relax, to become one with nature. Here, all of your senses are pleasantly reawakened by nature: your ear will be lulled by the chirping of cicadas and crickets, by the jangling song of the Serins; your eye will be enchanted by the beauty of the vistas, from the blues of the horizon to the silvery-green foliage of the olive trees; your nose enthralled by the fragrant caper, lentisk, rosemary, myrtle, laurel and thyme; your sense of touch charmed by the authentic stone, wood and wrought iron; your palate enticed by the delicious local cuisine. Vigne di Salamina can contain from 2 to 8 people. More

The location is great, very isolated up a hill via a narrow track. Fantastic views across to the sea. Obviously a car is essential. We stayed one week in the Trullo and one in the apartment (casa d'estate). Both are very clean and comfortable. The...More

We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment. In the end we didn't stay in the Trullo but in the apartment above it, as we preferred it (slightly more privacy, a better view and more room for our 9 month old to crawl outside. Nicla...More

About the neighbourhood
The strategic position of Vigne di Salamina, halfway between the long beach of the adriatic sea and the Itria Valley, makes every season a blend of countryside and sea, of nature and culture, art and tradition, discovering all of the surprising wealth of this outstanding area, and of Puglia in general: from the famous natural attractions such as the Castellana Caves and the safari park in Fasano, to the enchanting old cities of Ostuni, Alberobello and the other towns of the Itria valley, to the great medieval monuments of Bari, Castel del Monte, and Trani, not forgetting the Baroque treasures of Lecce and Martina Franca
Getting around
Our accommodation is located in the countryside so you need the car, there are no train station or bus station or subways. The nearest train and bus station is Fasanobut it is not convinient as it is far away about 6 km from the town. The best way to see the sights is the rent a car from the airport.
