'Caban Dan y Ser' (cabin under the stars) is a Scandinavian style pine log cabin. Recently refurbished, cosy yet luxuriously equipped, 'Dan Y Ser' is situated in Trawsfynydd Holiday Village, within the stunningly beautiful Snowdonia National Park. 'Dan Y Ser' sleeps four people in one double room and one bunk bedroom, and commands views of the Rhinog Mountains to the west (awesome sunsets!) and is a short drive away from one of Europes best mountain biking centres (Coed Y Brenin), beaches at Barmouth, Black Rock and Harlech, and some of the best narrow gauge railways in Wales (Ffestiniog, Corris, Welsh Highland and Tal Y Llyn). One well behaved dog is welcome, there is an enclosed dog walking area nearby where they may be safely let off the lead. There is private parking right next to the cabin. There is a laundrette, shop and childrens play area on site. 'Dan Y Ser' has 4G WiFi, FreeSat TV, Bluetooth soundbar, BluRay DVD player with Netflix access (you may sign in to your own account) and a cupboard full of DVDs for all the family to enjoy. The village is within a designated 'dark sky' area, there is no street lighting and on a clear night you can see amazing stars, the Milky Way, and often shooting stars. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, Tassimo coffee machine, microwave, slow cooker and even a supply of herbs and spices. Beautiful forest walks, with rivers, waterfalls, even Roman remains are all nearby. Escape, relax, love, return... More

Thankyou! You are most welcome to come back again-perfect guests :) isn't the dog walking area great. Winter is a great time to see the stars too, especially on crisp frosty nights.

About the neighbourhood
Snowdonia is a region in north west Wales around the mountains and glacial landforms of the massive Snowdonia National Park. This area is home to an extensive network of trails, over one hundred lakes and craggy peaks like Cader Idris, Tryfan and the Rhinog Mountains. There are picturesque bays and beaches nearby. For the more adventurous, Blaenau Ffestiniog has one of the worlds highest and fastest zip lines and unique underground trampolining ('Bounce Below'). Trawsfynydd Lake offers great fishing, or hire a boat at Barmouth for some sea fishing. The area is awash with Roman ruins and medieval castles to explore.
How to get there
The holiday village is situated about three miles south of Trawsfynydd, on the A470 between Dolgellau and Porthmadog. If coming via Bala and using a SatNav, beware, it may direct you along a narrow gated road off the A494 near Llanuwchllyn. Though very pretty, this route is winding and slow. On turning off the A470 at Bronaber (the holiday village is signposted) proceed up the hill and follow the sign to the right directing you towards the Reception building. Drive past Reception to where the road forks to the left, turn sharp left and Cabin 81 is in front of you on the right hand side. Please park on the private gravelled parking area
