Molise..bellissima regione forse poco conosciuta e sfruttata.

The house is very traditional country Italian, stucco rustico, sits a little off the road, hill and fields in back. Nice view of mountains. Not rushed, friendly owners and towns people. Love the mountain air, nearby forests, daily walks up the hill, local church and piazza, pastry shop and restaurants. A mulino on the river that makes polenta, historical sites not overrun by tourists, fly fishing, and the national Abruzzia forest. Local bus goes to nearby towns, and Isernia. Liked it all. I really enjoyed this stay in nature after having done the city tours in Italy. Excellent gem of a place.

Casa molto carina, curata e accogliente. Siamo stati benissimo e sicuro torneremo!

About the neighbourhood
At the foot of the Mainarde mountains, a mountain chain within the National Park of Abruzzo,Lazio e Molise, it offers lovely walks to lovers of nature, trekking and mountain bike. In the local woods live wolves, chamoises, deers and bears. On the surrounding peaks hovers the golden eagle. For a long time these beautiful mountains were home of ''Mainarde's Bear', the french painter and hermit Charles Moulin, a friend of Matisse, who chose to live and die here . On the top of Mount Brown, in the wood, it is still possible to come across the remains of the refuge, built among huge rocks, that hosted him. Also nearby are the impressive springs of the Volturno river, whose clear waters are home to a rich fauna of local and migratory birds. But you can even go swimming, canoeing or fishing in ...
Getting around
Car is necessary. However, in front of the house, buses pass for nearby Isernia and here you can take coaches and trains for different destinations and also for major towns such as Rome and Naples.
