About the neighbourhood
You’re situated in Melbourne’s most vibrant, energetic and diverse neighbourhood. Best of all, everything that you need is only a few steps away. It’s a few steps to your local 'Woolies' supermarket. Adjacent is St Kilda station. Or continue around the corner to enjoy a Melbourne coffee. Dine at any of the myriad of cafes and restaurants ranging from neighbourhood haunts to international class fine dining. Party through the night at a local nightspot or enjoy a quiet nightcap in a cosy local bar. Catch some theatre or live music. Stroll along St Kilda Beach to the famous Pier and beyond to Luna Luna Park and Acland Street or jog around beautiful Albert Park Lake. It’s all close by.
Getting around
The Skybus Airport Shuttle stops around the corner for transfer to and from the airport. Alternately a taxi will cost around $AU75. Once here getting around will be easy. A MYKI card will be available for your use for the duration of your stay. MYKI is Melbourne’s public transport smart card system. The same card can be used to pay for all public transport in Melbourne – trains, trams and buses. Just charge the card with credit at any 7-11 and off you go. The 96 tram (light rail) is a fast and direct route to the CBD and beyond. Take the 16 tram along Fitzroy Street to Balaclava, Caulfield, Malvern, Hawthorn and Kew. There’s a fabulous website called JourneyPlanner which will plan your public transport route to any destination.
