It was a beautiful house with amazing views but unfortunately the cleanliness let the place down. The Bbq was full of mould, coffee machine was dirty, dead cockraoch in the bathroom cupboard, hair dryer was old and cracked. If they would put newer appliances this place would be amazing. Also the privacy isnt the best as one evening a couple walking their dog walked in front of the massive window! Nice place but needs a bit of cleaning and newer appliances.

Waking up to that view every morning was the highlight. We spotted taamure, kanae, whae and lots of sprats from the lounge window and bbq area.
Everything we needed was available for our 4 night stay.
Couple of things:
Light for reading above the bed on the lounge side kept falling and bathroom ceiling needs a bit of attention or it may become a problem.
Thank you for having us and would definitely recommend.

We have a lovely stay in this quaint and cosy boat shed on Matauwhi bay. Trish was a lovely and attentive host when we needed assistance. Great location with a short walk to the boating club and town. Peaceful spot with lovely views and the water lapping at the window. Perfect weekend away stay for us.
