My partner and I were so, so excited about the prospect of staying here. It's extremely expensive but as my fiancee loves to fish, and the property promises peace and tranquility we decided to book what we thought would be the trip of a lifetime. How wrong we were. We arrived to find MAJOR roadworks taking place directly behind our cabin, a mere 50m away. From 7am - 5pm every day of our stay the cabin was vibrating with the noise, making it absolutely impossible to stay inside of the property. Despite being heavily pregnant with a difficult pregnancy, my partner and I found ourselves having to abandon the cabin first thing every morning and staying out all day - bear in mind these guys charge over $500 a night. The owner informed us there was nothing he could do as it was a council project - of course we understand that, BUT it was clearly evident in his correspondence and telephone communication with his fiancee, that the works had been going on for some time. Why not let us know and give us the opportunity to book somewhere else? Our compensation? Just over £200 for a holiday which literally cost the earth. We have videos and photos to back up everything we are claiming. And in all honesty Lake Bled is so stunning you DO NOT need to be paying such extortionate rates for a tiny cabin, when just across the river you can enjoy a hotel room, amazing lake views, a swimming pool and breakfast for a fraction of the price. Avoid, avoid, avoid. And to the owner, you should be ashamed.

From the start of out stay and throughout we were made very welcome. The accommodation is really special and indeed unique! We were delighted that we had the opportunity to stay there. The accommodation is private, on the lakeside of course but still within fairly easy access of good restaurants, the town and local amenities. The photos included in the listing give a good account of what to expect....a lovely place to stay!

This is probably the most beautiful place to stay in Bled - on a quiet private lakeside lot right by the lake, but still pretty central to town and all the fun. It's very exclusive (as it's only one unit) basic cottage that offers you best of both worlds in Bled.

With so few opportunities to stay lakeside this rental ticks all the boxes and has everything you wil need for a great break.

We visited Lake Bled for our wedding and stayed here for a few days. The cottage is like something out of a fairytale and it's location and facilities are fantastic. It is the only property on the island with a private beach and there are canoes and bikes for guests to use. The cottage is only a 10 minute walk from the edge of the town but the location in the grounds of a bigger house feel very secluded, peaceful and private. The owners were most accommodating, allowing us to have day guests and the photographer and hair and makeup team over before the wedding. Thank you for having us, we hope to return in the near future!

The most amazing place. Very private location within private grounds of main house on the shore of the lake. Unlimited use of two kayaks and several bikes. We didn't have a car so this was a god send. For our transfer from the airport we used GoOpti and they were great, reasonable price for private transfer and they waited for us in arrivals even though our flight was delayed. We stayed for 5 nights end of May/ beginning of June. Weather was hot with the occasional rumble of thunder and few spots of rain. Lake was warm enough to swim in without wetsuits. Lots of midges around lake at dusk and after dark, take a repellent. The host met us at the bus stop and took us to the house. He was also very helpful on checkout day, letting us leave our luggage in the main house after checkout so we could enjoy the summer toboggans at Bled straza before we left for the airport. The house is spotless and has everything you need. Highly Recommended.

We booked a week at this lake house and had very high expectations, we were not disappointed. We were met on arrival by the son of the owner who took us to the house and acted as our really friendly and helpful contact throughout our stay. Upon arrival we were shown round and had all the amenities explained to us. It was a lovely lake house, simply but very tastefully furnished, in the most amazing setting and only a really short flat walk into Bled itself. We had everything that we needed, there was a cupboard filled with the essentials, sugar, honey etc and all the little things, even down to a little rail and pegs to hang wet clothes on had been thought of. It was made clear to us that if we needed anything at all we could call at the owners house next door. The setting was serene, in its own private grounds containing a sculpture park. We had access to our own private jetty and on that sun loungers and an outside table and chairs. There were bikes and kayaks available for our use whenever we wanted them and having the ability to just swim in the lake from the jetty at any point we wanted really enhanced the whole holiday, we were in the water 2 to 3 times a day some days and loved the ability to have breakfast on the balcony overlooking the lake. We can't recommend this lake house highly enough and are already looking to come again.

Just returned with family of four. This has got to be the best location in Bled, own private jetty, swing rope, kayaks and bikes kept 14 year old son occupied for hours. Accommodation immaculate and very well equipped, host very friendly, met us in Bled and directed us to accommodation. Jure was also very knowledgable, gave us good advice regarding local restaurants and places to go. We only contacted him once during the week regarding a slight problem with one of the bikes and he sorted it immediately. Overall we would definitely recommend, this may be slightly more expensive than other Bled apartments but definitely worth it for fantastic location and facilities. Highly recommend and we plan to return soon.
