The Space<BR><BR>This is a beautiful traditional village courtyard home lovingly upgraded. Set in a friendly village with shops and restaurants close by, the house is minutes from the Great Wall and other lovely walks through the orchards, farms, valleys and mountains nearby. There are two designated bedrooms, one with a double bunk bed and one with a traditional 'kang' style bed that sleeps up to 6! Finally the living room also has unofficially the largest kang in the world which easily sleeps up to 10! There are kids toys, a swing and paddling pool for toddlers and games etc.<BR><BR>Interaction with Guests<BR><BR>We live in Beijing and can arrange a driver to pick you up from the airport or any location in Beijing and take you to the door - it normally takes 1.5 - 2 hours from central Beijing. We will be available by phone or email throughout your stay and have a local person who looks after the house who we can call if there is an emergency.<BR><BR>The Neighborhood<BR><BR>Its a lovely small village called Mafangtai, near a part of the Great Wall called Xiangshuihu. There is plenty of wild wall around, great cycling and hiking routes, and shops and restaurants in the village. Near the village are other scenic parts of the wall, the Ming tombs (around 40 mins by car) and the Schooolhouse and Mutianyu (20 minutes by car)
