About the neighbourhood
At the heart of the Valley, close to all major touristic sites! Huaran is a small village between the major touristic towns of Pisac, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo (and Machu Picchu). So you will not be far away from the attractions but you'll have the chance to rest during the evenings and enjoy an amazing firepit and a sky full of stars. The main road is just 150m away from where you can catch public transportation for a 10-15 min trip to the nearby towns (unless your travel agency has agreed to pick you up). Really close by the house there is also a nice cafeteria that serves coffee and lunch, and a few shops from you can buy some basic necessities.
How to get there
Unless your travel agency has agreed to take you to the Valley, there are vans that depart every 15 minutes from Cusco (Calle Puputi) to Urubamba. These cost about two dollars per person and take on average an hour to Huaran (which is about 15 minutes before Urubamba). From the busstop in Huaran, it is approximately a 5 minute walk to the house.
