We tried to book this property, the host changed the dates of our booking claiming that he had another booking during our rental time after we had already paid. We went to see the place to see if it was worth staying for just a few days and then moving to a different location. IT WAS NOT. This place was disgusting on the inside and absolutely not as advertised. Worse than that, the owner told us that we could only use some of the rooms and we weren't allowed in certain areas of the house which felt creepy and uncomfortable. Then he told us that we would have to pay him in cash for the booking even though the VRBO payment had already gone through. We did not agree to stay here or to any of the changes in conditions that he put upon us but then he refused to cancel the booking and give us our money back. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.

We would really like to write a perfect review for this home, but understanding how critical an accurate review is, that is how I will approach this review. The owner was very communicative and timely. He was concerned to make sure we signed a contract and took the meter readings for water and power which for a “luxury” rental it would be preferable to have that included. At the end he deducted a about a third of what was owed as we expressed to him that there were many disappointments with the property. The short story is that this home was a “wow” 20 years ago, but nothing, that we could tell, has been done since then including moving out the owner’s items which filled the home everywhere. He duct-taped closed the multitude of cabinetry in every room. Owner cabinets are common but closed on this manner was a surprise. The one bedroom closet in left available in each bedroom, when opened, smelled so badly of mildew they were unusable, as were the pillows on the lovely white sofas. Tiles were broken and plaster was peeling. Opening the doors to the back of the home was very difficult. The bathroom for two shared bedrooms was very much in need of a complete renovation. There was no light shining over the sink area and light bulbs were out in the shower making this bathroom experience less than desirable when you add in the condition of the tiling etc. The filtered water machine in the kitchen leaked so badly as soon as we arrived I had to close the valve and turn it off. The nespresso machine also leaked and there were no capsules left for guests, nor sugar. Also no salt or pepper. But the kitchen was crammed full of stuff to make the drawers that were not closed off impossible to open. There was so many things like glass goldfish collections etc, that it was just difficult to function with the lack of space although it was a decent sized kitchen. The refrigerator water and ice provided in the door also leaked as a new filter was apparently long overdue, and the perimeter of it was rotting. The furnishings were actually quite nice and so were the linens, but the towels were sun-dried and not fluffy—I appreciate energy saving....but The pictures are accurate but taken at angles to avoid the problems. In closing, our family loved the location and we had a great time! And if the owner invests in some refurbishment this is an absolutely fantastic home if you don’t mind the above-mentioned items.

The house itself was perfect for a family vacation. There are 5 bedrooms not 6, and no game room for kids downstairs. Short walk to a great beach

The villa is spacious, well located, beautifully decorated and equipped. Uri, owner, though out of the country, was available on What’s Ap to handle problems. He did not charge for electricity and water to compensate for lack of electric power (no heat, light, wifi) for 2 nights and a day until electrician made proper repairs. Unfortunately, unlike her dad would have done, his daughter who checked us in, was not able to give us adequate info about mechanics of the house, maid, local restaurants, activities, etc. and there was no written information in the house. That probably would have made a good stay a great one.

Enjoyed the place

The location of this property could not be better. It is a 5 min walk from a beautiful beach and equally close to great coffee and other shopping. The home is large and gave 6 adults ( 2 couples and 2 singles) plenty room with a spare bedroom for a friend one night. The property is lovely with 2 roof decks: one is outside the master bedroom and the other is above it, so the views of the sea are beautiful. The backyard has a table where we enjoyed most of our meals next to the pool. It is quiet, peaceful and relaxing. Uri was an excellent host, he responded immediately to all of our questions and gave us great recommendations regarding practical matters like where to dine and how many hours to book the maid. The property was clean and well maintained except for a small, slow, intermittent ceiling leak in the kitchen and another onto the dining room table that occurred only when it rained. Neither caused us any problems. All of the beds and mattresses are in very good condition, so we slept wonderfully. The house has newly polished, well maintained marble floors but is otherwise in need new surfaces, appliances and furnishings. Everything is in good working order, hot water is supplied by solar panels with additional supply controlled by a timer and was abundant. We enjoyed a relaxing vacation; this property has many advantages and we all agreed that we would return.

Great home, great location. 5 minute walk to an organized beach with restaurant. 2 minute walk to 2 different breakfast spots. 15 - 20 minute walk to the marina My family and I enjoyed the stay at your villa. The place was enormously quite(I love) and clean .I would happily recommend your villa to friends and family for future visits. Also I want to thank you so much for accommodating me the extra days! This place is one of the few AirBnBs that deserve a 5 star rating. This place was enormous and well maintained. You will not be disappointed if you book this place—it is close to the beach, local restaurants, This Villa was beautiful and spacious, allowing for 10 of us to comfortably sleep and store all of our belongings with excess space. The beds were comfortable, and we loved the porch to sit and relax outside both in the day and at night! I’ll be coming back here!

The power kept going off, then it would go on when we were out so the lights stayed on, and in 4 days, we were asked to pay hundreds of dollars of electric, which was not possible but we felt uncomfortable to argue.
