Only 5 minutes from Surin Beach, the villa has a magnificent terrace with infinity pool, and sleeps up to 20 or more guests in 7 luxurious bedroom suites. There are restaurants, bars and shops within a very short drive. The Laguna golf course is only a few minutes drive away.
You can order drinks and groceries online before your holiday and they will be delivered to the villa on the day you arrive. Lily can also shop for you in the local market., best for Thai cooking. (Groceries charged at cost price) . Jone drives the minibus. She is an experienced and careful driver and speaks English, Cantonese and Thai. She will act as your guide and show you the best markets, best restaurants and places to shop, the best beaches and things to see.
A special feature of this property are the magnificent bedroom suites, each unique and extremely spacious. (Apart from one small bedroom in the annexe) Most have their own private terraces, and separate seating areas with sofas, and very large and unusual bathrooms, featuring outdoor jacuzzi or bath with wonderful views over the tropical vegetation to the sea. They all have large individual showers, some with fabulous views of the coconut plantation and sea.
The 5th bedroom , the "Garden Spa" has a beautiful garden spa room with massage bench and lovely plants. This can also have an extra single bed. The 6th bedroom, is a very large bedroom suite, which can sleep 5, in a king size bed and three singles, and has a lounge area, bar counter, fridge, bathroom and private garden.
The seventh bedroom is a separate guest-house annexe, on the pool terrace level, with a small single bedroom with en-suite bathroom. This bedroom is small but can sleep 2.
The pool terrace is a perfect place to relax, in shade or sun. There is an infinity pool with spectacular views over two bays, and it has a swim up water bar. There is a shallow area on one side of the bridge which is perfect for the children to use. If you require pool protection for young children, we have a protective barrier which can be erected on request. We also have high chairs, car seats and cots for children, as well as a playpen. There is Sonos surround sound music system with a computerised system for continuous music of all kinds.. Or you can bluetooth your own devices.
There are two large and two small flat screen TVs which have NETFLIX and many DVDs and high speed wifi internet on every level of the villa.
There is a large outdoor dining area, with a table by the pool, and a wonderful shady Thai sala with revolving table and sunken seating.. In addition there is the very large dining room with solid teak dining table, which can seat 20, with panoramic views over Bang Tao bay. Also another outdoor terrace table which seats 12, with fabulous views over the pool terrace and beyond to the bay.
Though we have 5 permanent salaried staff, this is not enough to cope with very large groups if they eat all or most of their meals in the villa. If your group is 16 or more we would need one extra temporary helper, and ask you to pay 1000 baht a day to Lily so she can employ someone to help her. If your group is 18 or more she would need 2 or 3 extra helpers, so 2000 or 3000 baht a day. This is for help preparing meals, clearing and cleaning, and kitchen work.

Interaction with guests: You will be met at the airport and taken to the villa, where you will be welcomed with cold towels, fresh fruit and a drink. Lily will show you round the villa and prepare your first meal, free of charge.
Both Lily the chef and Jone our driver, have many ideas of things to do, places to see, good restaurants etc, and will help you have a holiday of a lifetime. As all holiday villas around the world, we require a security deposit on arrival. This should be in cash - 500 USD or pounds or euros, or any other currency equivalent.
Our family group of 11 recently stayed at Villa Sanyanga for a week and had an amazing time. The villa is not brand new but really well maintained and there is so much room that everybody had their own space. The pool area and sala are a fantastic place to hang out. We spent most evenings playing cards in the sala and dipping in and out of the pool, something you can't do at a resort.
Lily and her staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We ate all our meals at the villa and they were fantastic. We discussed what we wanted to eat each day with Lily and she did the rest. We had placed an order from a local supermarket before we arrived however after that Lily did the shopping for us. If you give Lily money she will shop locally and will let you know when she needs more cash. There is a "magic" fridge by the pool that was restocked with soft drinks, beer and wine without us having to ask, Lily picked up on what we liked to eat and drink and made sure there were always supplies.
Whatever you need Lily can arrange it whether it be birthday cakes, massages, excursions or cooking lessons, nothing was too much trouble.
Booking with Jacquie was so easy and she responded to any questions quickly. The information you receive before going is thorough so you know all will be well when you get there.
Our family group chat the day after returning home was filled with messages of I miss the villa and who's going to do the washing and cook dinner! A great holiday had by all. Highly recommended.

Perfect for large groups
A perfect 6 days with extended family.
If you're on the fence about booking this house, just do it!
You won't regret it for a second.
Amazing food, huge amount of space for everyone in bedrooms and communal spaces, beautiful views, adaptable and capable staff, well maintained facilities and communal spaces, fantastic location close to all the things you need - local and foreign, plus excellent wifi.
We celebrated our joint 40th birthday at the Villa and are so grateful we saved up to indulge in this very special holiday.
Special note: There are stairs everywhere, even internally in some bedrooms so this villa is not suitable for people with accessibility needs.

We were a group of 12 - 8 adults and 4 children aged between 6 and 14, with a party of 27 adults and kids for our birthday party.
It might feel expensive but the fact you are nestled away from the chaos and noise, the heaving tourist area, with your own pool, car, and helpful people just makes it so worth the price.
Also, given how much a family room costs at a 4-5 star hotel in a good location, if you're sharing the cost of this villa, it works out a reasonable price.
Sleeping/rooms
Due to the dynamics of our group, we used every room between just the 12 of us. But the villa can easily and comfortably sleep 20 (you may need to pay extra for this many guests though).
In all the big rooms, there are day beds that comfortably fit one or two kids under about age 10.
The linen was soft and high thread count. The pillows and mattresses in all rooms were just the right mix of soft and firm.
The bathrooms are palatial in almost every room, with lots of ventilation.
Some of the rooms are darker and closer to vegetation than others as the villa is on a hill so not all rooms are equal, but there are no bad rooms!
The aircons were well positioned and in good order which we were so grateful for as it was so incredibly hot.
If you are less heat sensitive than us, there are fans in all rooms and the windows are made for cross breeze and ventilation.
Food
We had grand plans to go out but Lily’s cooking was just so good. We ate exclusively Thai food except for the snacks we bought from Makro on our second day at the villa.
Between us we had a huge amount of food allergies that Lily was incredibly good at catering to: celiac, dairy free, vegetarian, pescatarian, peanut free, legume free, onion free, and spice-intolerant.
On top of that, 9 out of 12 of our group got very sick (from a meal outside the villa, not Lily!!) so many needed modified or simplified meals across multiple days.
Lily met each and every challenge and provided absolutely beautiful food every day.
We spent about 10,000THB on food from the villa for breakfast and lunch each day. It would be significantly more if we ate foreign food and drink.
Communal spaces
We nicknamed the lounge/TV room the "first aide tent" as it has A/C and was blessedly cool when we were all overheating!
There are (manual) mahjong tables which we used in that room as well as watching Netflix.
The dining room was perfect for all our big family meals, seating all 12 of us very easily.
We had access to small fridge in the side room off the big porch area, separate to Lily's main fridge, so we kept our privately purchased snacks and drinks there which was a great bonus for us.
Mosquitos weren't an issue for most of us but that might be because of the height of the villa or just the time of year.
The pool was a great temp and there was even a few pool toys for use. The only challenge for us about the pool was that there was no shade. It meant we didn't use the pool much in the middle of the day but made good use of it during the early morning and evenings. For those less sun-shy, this probably wouldn't matter.
The pagoda next to the pool got the most magnificent breeze throughout most of the day. We lived in there when not taking refuge in the "first aide tent".
(Get Jeffrey to crank the special blind down on the seaward side for extra shade.)
Transport
We used the mini van once a day for about an hour round trip and our fuel cost was about 1200THB.
Other - the local area around this villa is busy but somehow calm. We (thankfully) didn't see any murky dark side of the island's tourist and sex trade in our area. Lots of little local shops at the bottom of the hill can meet almost all basic needs. A few kms down the road gets you the beach and restaurants, the other direction finds you in an expat bubble of Western fast food and shops.
Special note: you will need to pay for any visitors during your stay, such as wedding guests or birthday party guests, on a per head basis. It clearly says this on the villa website but just another reminder to factor that in.

Can’t Say Enough!
We just got back from the most amazing week at this villa! A family reunion (8 adults, 6 kids ages 4-11) - it was the most perfect house for our group. The staff are all incredible and the food was so delicious. The pool was the most ideal temperature. Highly recommend! We hope to come back!

Best Villa for Large Group
This is the 4th time we are staying at Villa Sanyanga over the past 10 years. The Villa is not only kept in great condition but upgraded so even more enjoyable.
Villa Sanyanga is the perfect Villa for large group, the Villa manager/chef (Lily) is like a close friend of mine as she is so warm and welcoming.
All my friends and family are already hoping to visit Phuket and staying at the Villa again.

Blissful relaxation
Our visit to Sanyanga exceeded our expectations! Not only is the villa beautiful and comfortable, but the team is beyond fanstastic! They made our stay so easy and relaxing. We had such a fantastic stay that we really didn’t end up leaving the villa much at all. Delicious food, perfect lounging spaces and Thai massages at home: bliss! Would highly recommend Sanyanga to anyone wanting a fabulous Thai villa holiday!

Speechless
What makes this place so amazing, is not only the design and layout of this gorgeous property but also the amazingly caring staff that treat you like family.
I stayed here with 11 others for 4 nights and celebrated my 10th wedding anniversary there. Lily, the onsite manager and chef became 'my lily' to us all. She is just phenomenal. Lily along with Jone, Boom, Pat, Rose and Geoffrey create the perfect environment and ensure you have the BEST experience whilst staying there.
Jacqui is a dream to liaise with. From conception of my idea to host my anniversary party, she assisted with suggestions and recommendations. Everything was sorted.
I cannot recommend this villa enough. Look no further than Villa Sanyanga.

The perfect accommodation for large groups.
Visited in August with the extended fam (15 people across 6 families) and Villa Sanyanga was the perfect accoms for us especially as the weather was crappy.
Having a dedicated minibus/driver and chef on site was so convenient, and chef Lily’s cuisine - completely tailorable to your tastes - rivals many of the dedicated restaurants around the island.
The villa itself is gorgeous, has plenty of hangout spots (pool, outdoor lounges, indoor living room with 75” TV), and actually well located - within 30-ish minutes from most attractions around the island.
My only regret is that because the family is strewn all over the world, it’ll be difficult to get them all back again for a repeat visit.

Villa Perfection - Suberb Spot for Large Groups
Villa Sanyanga is awesome. It was the perfect place for a multi-generation, multi-family holiday in Thailand. There are many things to love about this place, but let me start with the secret sauce:
The Staff: Yes, it is hard to imagine arriving in a place with a house manager, driver, and small team all dedicated to ensuring you have an amazing and stress-free vacation - but that's what you get when you stay here. Lily, the house manager took very good care of us. For us, that meant delicious home-cooked meals 3 times a day. The food was excellent. Our family was partial to Thai food as we were in Thailand, but Lilly also cooked to accommodate the few particular guests in our group with some American and Italian-style favorites. We always felt well-fed and had lots of good choices. You also get hotel-like service with daily room cleaning, pool care, and free laundry! Jone, the driver is equally wonderful coordinating all kinds of trips from the beach to the Big Buddha and even out to Phuket's party scene for our young adults. All of this is included. You just need to cover the cost of groceries and gas. The value here is incredible. The feeling is priceless and I felt so cared for by Lily that we were sharing hugs at the end of it all. Thank you to the staff at Villa Sanyanga. We miss you already. I will also say that the villa owner does an exemplary job of coordinating pre-arrival details.
The Location: Surin Beach is a bit out of the tourist center of Phuket, but we liked that. If you don't mind the hill, you can easily walk to the business district and beach. If you don't like hills, then the villa driver will happily take you. You have options. You have a view of two ocean beaches from the poolside deck. We had to drive to some of our activities (sea kayaking, the Big Buddha, the night market, and an elephant sanctuary), but I think that is standard for almost any spot in Phuket as the entire area is spread out.
The Space: Our 15-person group had plenty of space for everyone. The bedrooms on the top two floors are the nicest. The lower floor rooms are good too, but not equitable so just be prepared to address this if you are sharing with lots of people. There is a great covered spot next to the pool for reading and relaxing and plenty of poolside lounge chairs that you feel like you are at a 5-star resort of your own. There is also a great family room for watching movies or playing games with AC if you need a break from the heat. The dining area also has a table where everyone can sit down together. We really appreciated how the space is designed to support community.
We will always remember our trip to Thailand first and foremost for the wonderful experience we had at Villa Sanyanga. I hope one day we will be able to come back. Thank you to the team of people who made this possible. Do not hesitate to book this place. You won't regret it!

Best vacation ever!
For my birthday, a group of 6 of my friends and I traveled to Thailand! I found this property and reached out to Jacquie to inquire about the specifics. She was very communicative, and answered all of the millions of questions I had! They were very welcoming and accommodating and some of the nicest people I'd ever encountered. Lily and staff were the absolute sweetest, they prepared delicious traditional food for us, decorated for my birthday and provided a cake. Additionally, Lily booked all of our private, exclusive excursions that are really amazing!! Don't book excursions ahead, allow her to assist you with that. She also organized massages on property for us two separate nights out near the pool and they were great! Lily has an infectious smile and personality and was so much fun to be around! She felt like an aunt that we never met and took great care of us and our things. If we knew how amazing this experience would be, we would've booked them for the entire stay. We tried to change accommodations but they had guest coming in after us. Joan, our driver was equally amazing and always was there on time! It was raining, she even had umbrellas in the van for us! She was very helpful with protecting us in the city and taking us to all the great spots!
We felt very safe with them and at this property! It was breathtaking and the pictures honestly doesn't do it any justice.
A few tips: The outlet plugs on property supported USA chargers and plugs, a converter was not necessary. Allow Lily to cook for you, and go to the market with her to learn about traditional foods. Customize your vacation, they're very knowledgeable and helpful.

Perfect vacation in Phuket
We are a big family group of 22 from Hong Kong, we visited Villa Sanyanga in May 2023 for 3 nights. We had an amazing time in the villa.
First of all, Jacquie gave us a very detailed introduction to the villa, she is always prompt in replying to all our inquiries. She is very patience and helpful in assisting with all our requests. We planned a surprise wedding proposal in the villa and with the help of Jacquie and her villa staff, it was a great success.
Lily gave us a very detailed room tour on our arrival, she prepared us the day bed in advance, helped us to arrange vans, massage, booking day trips and making confirmation with restaurants.
Lily and her team, cooks perfect meal for everyone of us throughout our stay, we had made to order breakfast every morning, (noodles, sausages and eggs, fruits, congee, you name it). We also had 2 dinners in the villa, the fact that the dinning room is able to accomodate all 22 of us gave us a very precious family gathering time.
Jone picked us at the airport together with the other 2 vans, she took us to different places throughout our stay (supermarket, massage place, elephant park, restaurants). Jone is always on time and she is very familiar with the places.
The villa is nice and clean, wonderful pool and view! New towels are always ready, rooms were clean everyday.
We would love to come back to villa Sanyanga again and will definitely recommend it to all my friends and relatives!!!

Baan Thai Surin Hill is a select and private development on a hill above Surin beach, on the West coast of Phuket. The villa is perched on a hill surrounded by lush tropical vegetation, an oasis of calm. Surin beach is just two minutes drive away in our air-conditioned minibus, which you can call to take you back to the villa when you want to leave the beach.
Getting around
You don´t need to hire a car, or use public transport. Our driver is on standby all day with our 12 seat air-conditioned minibus, to take you anywhere you want to go, any time. She will act as your guide, and show you where to go and what to see.
