Kota Kinabalu is a coastal town. My place, Marina Court, is about 100 meters to Marriot Hotel which is by the seafront with a deck over the water surface. Tourists like to gather at the seafront. to watch the sunset. My place is about 300 meters from the Jesselton Point Jetty where boats run on schedules to take you to Gaya Island, Manukan Island and other islands with breathtakingly clear waters. You can get an 1-hour scuba diving lesson and swim with the fishes on Manukan Island. On shore, my place is in the centre of Kota Kinabalu CIty where you can get all the local foods, fruits and activities. Kota Kinabalu is about 50 km from Mount Kinabalu which you need to make advance booking if you want to 'climb'. Tanjong Aru beach is about 6 Km away. Clean condo, at a great location!
This is my 3rd time staying at Marina Court Condos , Kota Kinabalu, with my 3 other colleagues. Its my second time staying at Calvin’s place.
The location is superb, right in the centre of the city and close to everything this city offers as well as easy reach to nearby attractions and food outlets. The rooms are sparkling clean. Street view from the rooms is superb. Host Calvin is always helpful. This time, we enjoyed the 1+km walk to the “Hill Tower” for a bird-eye’s view of the whole of KK city. Took some photos. We also love walking to the nearby fish and vege market in the evening and brought back tons of food and fruits. We even did some cooking ourselves.
I definitely recommend Calvin’s place to anyone looking for accommodation in KK.
