I stayed at Casa Mendieta for a night in October before flying to Peru. Even though it is close to the bus station and airport, it is located in a very quiet neighborhood. You don’t hear the traffic or the planes. And to make it even better, the beds are so comfortable, you will sleep like a baby. Jorge is a great owner and very accommodating. You simply can’t go wrong!

The owner is super nice and helpful, clean room with a huge bed. Good value for money. Location is very close to the airport

About the neighbourhood
It's a walking distance coming from the airport probably 3 blocks, but if you are new coming to South America is always best and great ideal to hide a driver . Coming out of the airport there is America's avenue high way with lots of traffic. Across from our lodging there is a nice large park to hang out. Also many little stores to shop from, and 2 big supermarkets for grocery shopping if needed.
Getting around
Guests can ask us for transportation service taxi rides, airport transfers , city and country tours, facilitator, visa assistance, If you need a city tour let us know we can provide with lots of info about it and we've done city tours to our guests for over the years. The other option if you need us, we can always call Uber for you or there is public transportation two blocks from our house.
