Welcome! Cute, quiet, cozy cabin just listed May 2017, and we are proud to say it is a real Alaskan experience! Our quiet, private cabin is definitely rustic but has electricity, hot and cold running water and a full kitchen. Also, it has a recently added on bathroom (still under construction though!) with an indoor shower and bathroom sink. But no indoor toilet, after all, who needs it when surrounded by all of this majestic beauty? So we invite you to take advantage of a unique opportunity to connect with nature as you take a few steps outside the front door to use your very own clean and maintained port-a-potty. (OR a few steps toward the secluded back of the property to use the real-deal, our clean Alaskan outhouse!) After a scenic 2-mile drive down historic Stampede Road, we thin...Welcome! (OR a few steps toward the secluded back of the property to use the real-deal, our clean Alaskan outhouse!) After a scenic 2-mile drive down historic Stampede Road, we think you'll already be falling in love with Denali. Our private drive has plenty of parking space. Stretch your legs while being surrounded by the quiet of nature and the birch, spruce, and aspen trees that surround this property. We want you to feel right at home the moment you step inside and spread out comfortably in our newly-renovated, open floor plan that has windows framing the surrounding boreal forest. You can take advantage of our full kitchen with fridge/freezer, range/stove, microwave and crock-pot/slow-cooker. And that’s just the start, as we also provide a variety of cookware, dishes, utensils, spices, coffee and teas and other necessities (foil, cleaning products, etc.). All the linens and towels, too. Anything we can think of to make things as convenient as possible for our guests! Featuring an upstairs bedroom with a queen bed to relax in (semi-open to the downstairs) that looks over to the Northern border of Denali National Park. There is a full-size futon on the ground floor that provides additional sleeping space, and also a twin-size sleeping mat (ONLY recommended for the younger/spryer types). All the towels and linens you will need are also provided! Our rustic, no-frills cabin is definitely an Alaskan home. It has a set of steep stairs to the upstairs bedroom and an outdoor toilet (a private Port-a-Potty and an outhouse are both available). No cable-tv here in rural Alaska but we provided a Blu-ray player and a selection of movies to watch and Wi-Fi along with some books and games too. Our cabin is a great fit for adventurous couples, families with older children or small groups of budget-minded adults. Not for party-seekers, the mobility challenged or families with young children. Nightly rate is all you pay, no hidden fees, and no cleaning fee! Well-behaved dogs accepted at NO additional fee. Our entire home is non-smoking, if you choose to smoke or vape we request you do so outside. Our cabin has everything you’ll need as a base for your Denali vacation!More

This rather rustic cabin is a good base camp for seeing sights near Denali. It fit well in the somewhat remote setting and provided some beautiful views of the mountains. The kitchen made it possible to cook some of our own meals. The bed was...More

I love staying at this camp, I have been here 24 days. I am working in Healy and have really taken advantage of this opportunity. The camp has everything I would expect a good camp to have. This is Alaska, this is a camp, so...More

About the neighbourhood
Our small town is really small! No real grocery stores within 100 miles of anywhere in Denali. We have one store that is a liquor/grocery store and a gallon of milk is $8!!! You definitely need to 'stock up' before arriving here. Buy anything you will need in town before heading heading out here. Lots of bottled water, snacks, etc. for your long days of travel/exploring.
Getting around
The Denali area is an absolutely unforgettable experience and also can be tricky to navigate as a visitor. With 6 million acres of undisturbed wilderness and only 1 road that can only be seen by private bus, it's definitely different than other parks. (Alaska is over half a million sq miles and only 1% of land is privately owned) Denali National Park almost completely shuts down for the winter season, September-May, this cabin is located in the 'locals' area, the town of Healy.
