The apartment is situated on the fifth floor of Lighthouse Mall in the heart of the Umhlanga Village and within 200 metres of the main swimming beach. This vacation rental apartment offers awesome sea views from the apartment. This luxury self catering apartment consists of a lounge, dining area and a fully fitted modern kitchen. There are two double bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. The apartment can comfortably sleep four people with a King-size bed in the main bedroom and twin beds in the second bedroom (which can be converted to king size on request). Quality linen and bath towels are provided. Off the lounge are sliding doors onto the patio with views of the sea. Delightful comfortable stay
Our trip started with great service from Herman who was so helpful and efficient sorting out our bookings and queries . We arrived on Saturday evening and was met by Jono whom was so pleasant and ran us through the ins and outs of the apartment. The open planned apartment was beautifully and elegantly decorated, the kitchen was well equipped with great modern appliances and every utensil you would need. The lounge was wonderfully comfortable with a comfy couch and off the lounge through large sliding doors was a small patio area with lovely sea views and a practical patio suite where you could have breakfast and take in the beautiful view and breath the fresh crisp sea air. Down a passage you were lead to two separate bedrooms with great comfortable beds, fresh crisp white linen and the most comfortable pillows we have had in a long time. Both bedrooms have good natural light and sliding doors that open again with an awesome sea view so special to wake up to in the morning. The two bathrooms are fresh and clean one has a shower only and the other has a bath with an overhead shower. The apartment is equipped with wifi that is quick so really great to have to keep in touch with family at home. 506 is brilliantly located as you head down the lift you arrive on the ground floor with the pick n pay supermarket right there to get what you need and then you are right on the main Chartwell road with all the great coffee houses and restaurants. A short walk up the hill leads you to the Umhlanga centre. +\_ 200 meters you are on the beach and walking promenade you could not ask for a better location. As a whole this was a great apartment and our stay was awesome and am certain we will be returning. We can only thank everyone involved with this apartment for making our stay fantastic.

Wow, what a review! We are glowing with pride! We are so glad you loved 506 Lighthouse Mall so much that you chose to write such a wonderful, detailed review! It was such a pleasure hosting the 3 of you! We are very proud of our apartments, and we never compromise on quality. We source only high end furnishings and appliances. Only the best will do for you! The view is spectacular, isn't it? It would be a shame to only have the view in the lounge area. Both bedrooms and the lounge have the same stunning sea views. Whales have been spotted around Umhlanga's coastline in the past few weeks, and 506 Lighthouse Mall would be a perfect viewing spot! As you rightly say, the location of 506 Lighthouse Mall is absolutely perfect as you have all the popular restaurants, bars and supermarkets on the ground floor of the same building! No need to use you car at all as the beach is also roughly 200m from the apartment. The FREE uncapped, high speed Wi-Fi is just one less thing for you to worry about. It is a necessity these days, and we don't believe that you should be without it! Amazing place, perfect host, beautiful views. Can't find fault. Tranquil. Quality furniture and bedding. Very convenient with pick n pay on the ground floor and in walking distance to plenty restaurants and coffee shops. Close to the beach.

We do our utmost to ensure that you are comfortable and feel at home. 506 Lighthouse Mall is so convenient with the supermarkets, restaurants and bars all on the ground floor. No car necessary and absolutely no noise from the hustle and bustle below. This is a huge draw card in this apartment. The beach is roughly 200 meters from the apartment, and takes only a few minutes on foot. We do hope you intend on visiting us again. We would love to have you! Unbeatable!
Love, love, love this apartment!! Value for money. Superb location - close to all the action, the shops and the beach. Stunning sea views. Surprisingly quiet given the location. Impeccably clean with lovely housekeeper. Stylish, comfortable decor. Spacious. WIFI. Secure car parking. Attention to detail evident throughout. UNBEATABLE... Thanks Jack,Mark, Gus and Hermann! Comrades weekend

Total comfort
I spent a week here hosting two elderly ladies from Australia and the UK. Everything was at our fingertips and we did not have to drive anywhere. The apartment was everything we expected and the cleaning service was excellent.My guests were delighted and impressed by our accommodation.

Romantic and ideally situated
We stayed in 304 which is a smaller unit with just one bedroom and it was perfect for us. So affordable and much better than being stuck in a small hotel room. The flat was beautifully decorated with high spec appliances. Comfortable and clean, serviced daily. So conveniently located above a super market and a huge selection of restaurants and bars. Gorgeous sea views and a little balcony for alfresco dining. I definitely recommend it.

Great Apartment & location
Very nice apartment, spotless clean with everything you need at your disposal. We arrived very late at night but it was no bother for the owner who came and showed us around and gave us all the information we needed. I could highly reccomend this as a perfect base to see the whole area. Thank you once again for a lovely stay. Mary.

Romantic feel with stunning sea views!
My husband and I for a couple of nights whilst we were waiting for family to join us before moving into the other property D3 Sea Lodge. It was our romantic retreat for a couple of nights, we enjoyed the views from the lounge, bedrooms, balcony. The apartment is beautifully decorated, high spec appliances and everything works well. It is situated in a lovely shopping mall, near all the best places to eat and drink, a short walk to one of the best beaches in Durban..you do not need to drive. It's very secure and secure parking for 2 cars. Hubby and I will stay there again when it's just me and him and then go the D3 when the family joins us. Hermann was a darling when we arrived and made sure we were settled in; and he checked on us the following morning to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. No complaints whatsoever. It was very clean and everything we needed was there. Our only tip is that you turn off the air con whilst sitting on the balcony....as it blows out hot air onto the balcony.....but otherwise its so very lovely.

Excellent location, very clean
Situated on the 5th floor right in the centre of Umhlanga with supermarket directly under, and various shops and restaurants a few minutes walk in any direction. Unit however is very quiet as it faces the ocean not the shopping area, so lovely views from small balcony, lounge and bedrooms. Very clean and comfortable with secure parking. Management (Gus) extremely helpful when we arrived fairly late at night due to overseas flight time.

506 Lighthouse Mall is in the heart of the Umhlanga Village. There are numerous hotels in the immediate vicinity where children can enjoy ten pin bowling, game arcades etc. Enjoy a walk along the 5 kilometre Promenade on the beach or a stroll along the nature trail through the Hawaan Forest. There are several family and up market restaurants in the village centre. 506 Lighthouse Mall is so ideally situated, one can virtually park your car at the beginning of your holiday and have no need to use it again for your entire stay. 506 Lighthouse Mall is a five minute drive from Gateway, (the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere), twenty minutes drive from Durban, the International Conference Centre (I. C. C.) and U Shaka Marine World. King Shaka International Airport is a fifteen minute drive from Umhlanga Rocks. There are several fine restaurants in the village or at Gateway Shopping Centre. A private first world hospital is a five minutes drive away by car. There are several world class golf courses in the immediate vicinity including the prestigious Mount Edgecombe and Zimbali courses. Umhlanga Rocks is one of the most sought after holiday resorts in South Africa whilst still retaining its unique seaside village feel. The world heritage site of Lake St Lucia, the Umfolozi / Hluhluwe Game Parks and the majestic Drakensberg Mountains are all within easy reach from Umhlanga Rocks.
