My husband, daughter and I had such a wonderful vacation here - the apartment was SPOTLESS and so beautifully furnished and decorated. The views of the ocean are spectacular and 2 of the bedrooms have gorgeous views of the sea so you can make the most of the Umhlanga views. Filip had arranged some lovely treats in the fridge including Lindt chocolate, wine, cookies and essentials like milk and sugar and best of all was the use of Nespresso machine with pods! The apartment also has 2 lovely spacious bathrooms, dishwasher, washer and dryer, microwave, iron, and includes bathroom amenities. The only downside to the apartment for us (others may not be bothered by it) was the very bright corridor light which shines into the 3rd guest bedroom and bathrooms at night time. Luckily we did not use that bedroom and kept the bathroom doors closed so the light wouldnt shine in but if a very bright room at night concerns you, I would recommend bringing portable blackout shades to put on the windows. Otherwise a super, super apartment and we will definitely be back in the future!

Searock is an extremely comfortable and well-equipped apartment. The unit has stunning sea views that can be enjoyed from two of the bedrooms and the lounge. The verandah enjoys morning sun until midday and then there is shade enabling you to take in the picturesque views whilst relaxing on the patio furniture. The kitchen is well equipped with a modern washing machine, tumble drier, dishwasher and Nespresso coffee machine. The unit is serviced every alternate day and the lady is willing to do laundry for a small fee. The unit has a double electric garage together with security present every evening. The location is suitable for all travellers as it is five minutes to the seafront and shops. Filip was the perfect host and provides for all your needs whilst on holiday. We will most definitely visit again!

My wife and 19 year old daughter and I stayed in the Searock apartment for a week, and were v pleased all around. The owner/manager, Filip Engelen, and his wife Priscilla, are v considerate, attentive, responsive and very professional. The pricing is moderate and affordable. The apartment is a beautifully decorated and maintained three bedroom, with a reasonably well equipped kitchen, a large living and dining area, an expansive terrace, and a spectacular view of the Indian Ocean. WIFI is good. All appliances are quite young in age, the apartment comes with an individual locked garage space for a car. Someone comes to clean every other day, and is open for a modest price to do laundry. Security for the apartment building is quite reliable . A lovely walking path on the ocean begins at the base of the hill, and is either a short walk from the apartment or a short drive to a parking lot at the base of the trail. Getting into the village is simple, by foot, by car, or by Uber. Oyster Box and Beverly Hills Hotel are both nearby, both have exceptional restaurants and great views. Be sure to make reservations in advance. The commute to downtown Durban is 15-20 minutes and easily navigated. The commute to Shaka International Airport is a simple 15-20 minute drive.

Perfectly located, this apartment is spacious and comfortable and was just right for our family of 5 including three young children. The beds were very comfortable and the maid washed the linen and towels every second day. The apartment was spotless upon arrival and Filip the owner was always on hand to help us with any queries. We had a wonderful holiday and would definitely come back. If you're looking for a place within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants with stunning sea views then this is for you. The only thing we missed was that the apartment was not within walking distance of a swimming beach so we had to drive every day - but it is literally a 2 minute drive with ample parking. We would definitely come back!

A beautiful three bed two bathroom apartment within walking distance of the old town restaurants, shops etc etc. Located in a very safe area, which was essential as my wife and I were travelling with our two grandchildren age 10 and 15. The apartment was spacious, a large balcony with superb sea views. Peaceful and quiet, the apartment was just perfect for us in everyway. Filip our landlord was extremely helpful, on hand if we needed anything. A maid attended the apartment every other day. We love Umhlanga and would definitely stay at Searock again.

We just spent 9 fabulous days at Searock. The apartment is spacious, clean, airy and has all the amenities one could ask for. The view from both sea facing bedrooms / lounge and verandah are fantastic. Searock is just a stroll away from all the fabulous restaraunts Umhlanga has to offer as well as the beach and Umhlanga promenade. We will definately be coming back and hopefully it will be soon !
