Thanks and glad you stayed at Sequoia Resort. Due to the California drought, the lake is now a pond, but the fishing is still good! There is a rowboat for guest use.

About the neighbourhood
Sequoia Resort is open year-round, at 3500 ft. elevation. We are on 377 acres of Sierra Foothills oak and pine forest. It is approximately 25 minutes to the entrance of King's Canyon and 55 minutes to Sequoia National Park. The Generals Highway (50 miles long) takes you through both Parks, featuring: Giant Sequoia trees, two caves to explore, long and short hiking trails, swimming and boating at Hume Lake and visitors' centers at Grant Grove and Giant Forest. On site we have a pond with a dining deck, rowboats, volleyball and horseshoes. There are free bikes for our paved roads, and we have hiking trails, too. Also nearby is Cat Haven where you can view rare and endangered wild cats such as lions, panthers and leopards.
How to get there
Directions From the South  Head north on Highway 99  Merge onto Highway 198 towards Visalia (shop for groceries here)  Continue through Visalia until you arrive at Lemon Cove  After Lemon Cove, turn left after the Prince Gas station on Road 216 (the last gas station, so fill up your tank!)  After ½ mile, crossing the Kaweah river, turn right onto Dry Creek Rd. (you'll see the sign for “Badger”)  Go all the way up until a stop sign at Highway 245 (Mountain House is in the intersection)  Turn right (going straight ahead) onto Highway 245  1½ miles after the old Badger store (Whitaker Forest Road is on the right) you will pass a CDF fire station on the left side  Sequoia Resort is located just beyond the fire station – there is an entry gate on the right side of the road From the N...
