If you do want to explore the area, there's river access roughly 2 minutes' walk and ample opportunities to browse shops and graze restaurants and wine tasting rooms in downtown Guerneville less than 5 minutes by car. You will love periodic visits from Sheila the pea hen who stops by most afternoons to perch in a tree and land on the deck and look through the sliding glass door. While dogs are welcome at Twinberry Wood, we ask that they be very well behaved and respectful of Sheila. Thank you for understanding that this is not the home for dogs with a strong prey drive. Twinberry Wood offers two specials for arrival dates between 4-1-19 and 5-17-19. These are very special specials! While recovery from this winter's flood is well underway, our citizens and businesses could use a little extra support this season. Choose one or the other, at no additional cost to you! Get a $25 gift certificate from one of our participating local business partners, or donate 5% of your rental amount to the Lazy Bear Cares fund, which benefits local citizens and businesses who need help during the flood recovery process. Specials apply to new reservations only, and cannot be applied retroactively. Know Before You Book: Maximum Occupancy and Quiet Hours: The maximum occupancy at Twinberry Wood is 7 people. Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm until 7:00 am. Outdoor amplified sound is prohibited at any time. Parking: There is parking for 3 cars: 1 in the carport, 1 in the driveway in front of the carport, and 1 in front of the house on the street (designated for this home). The driveway is a bit steep, but paved. Street parking is scarce. RVs, trailers and campers are prohibited, per the Sonoma County Vacation Rental Ordinance. Bed Sizes: First bedroom: Cal King bed; Second bedroom: Queen bed; Third bedroom: Full/Twin bunk bed. Heat Source: This house uses a Nest thermostat for the central heating system. Road to Twinberry Wood: The house is located up a narrow one-lane road. It is a two-way, one-lane hillside road - partially paved. No special vehicle is required. We provide detailed written driving directions to confirmed guests. Stairs: There are two sets of stairs at the house: one section from the parking area to the front door and one interior set of stairs from the main living area to the upper floor where the bedrooms and full bathrooms are located. Hot Tub Stairs: The stairs up into the hot tub have been modified since these photos were taken. They are now studily built on the exterior of the tub. New photos coming soon! Fencing: The yard is not fenced, but the decks are fully enclosed. Proximity to Wineries: Porter-Bass Winery is 3.6 miles from the house. Nearest River Beach: The nearest river access is a 2 minute walk from the house - though the beach is variable. Nearest Ocean Beach: The coastal beaches in Jenner are approx. 15 miles.
