This place was almost perfect. The view was incredible, location was perfect, home was clean and well stocked for what we needed. We had an amazing weekend, ate great food and relaxed soaking in the views from the hot tub. Only thing was during the wind storm, the flapper on the outside of the vent in the upstairs bathroom banged for hours. My boyfriend managed to sleep through it but I got up, fortunately I had that incredible view to admire while he slept. I’m sure it’s an easy fix and also sure the owners will take care of it. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends!

Property was as advertised, a beautiful remote location that was very close to the options from the small town. Good options for eating out but the house was so well set up that we ate in all the time. Great for just the two of us, very cozy on a stormy day. Very nice to have 2 bathrooms. The house was very clean, kitchen had a great coffee pot, gas range, dishwasher, and all cooking utensils we needed. Upstairs bedroom with sliding glass door had the same amazing view of the harbor & fishing boats. Make sure you visit the pier (10 minutes) & Hooda Pt to watch the surfing (10 mins). We did have a challenge getting checked in, took over an hour for property managers to respond when we let them know they had provided an incorrect key code. Still gave the property a 5 overall, based on the cleanliness, convenience & beauty of the location.

This cabin is well constructed, well engineered, well planned for the layout and comforts of home and, wow, the view is spectacular. Very cozy. Close to great restaurants and beaches. We sat in the hot tub during the day so we could take advantage of the view. I locked us out one afternoon but thankfully my husband had his cell phone. When I called in my sad story, they were very nice and had someone out in a few minutes to let us back in. We would rent this place again.

The Raven House is a beautiful spot from which to enjoy Humboldt County. The views are stunning. The set up is very comfortable and the attention to detail is evident. The heaters are very efficient! We’d highly recommend this property to a couple or small family.

Raven House is a beautifully perched cabin overlooking Trinidad Bay... lulled by the sounds of crashing surf on the rocky shoreline below! Overall we enjoyed our stay and all of the wonderful trails and town near by. There were some primary appliances and lighting that were not working - a tad disappointing. would highly recommend some dimmers on the main great room lighting - sometimes it light was needed but felt like a football stadium with lights on - a bit of a mood damper.

What a special place to relax and unwind, watching and listening to the ocean waves from the comfort of a cozy cabin. Everything was perfect. A nice getaway from the birthday party action down the road. Very close to town of Trinidad. Perfect for couple, also accommodates extra on sofa bed. Many thanks!

My husband and I spent 3 night, celebrating our 10 year anniversary. The house was amazing! It surpassed all our expectations! Beautiful mosaic designs throughout the home. We love to cook and had everything we needed to prep phenomenal meals. The views are breathtaking and the hot tub was a perfect addition. I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing get away!

Reviewer Comments: My husband & I came to Northern California to spend our 40th anniversary in the Redwoods & Raven House certainly was the "cherry on top" of our vacation! The views alone are spectacular & the house was one of the best we have ever rented. The house was clean & well looked after & the little touches like hand soap, paper towels, tissues & dish soap were very helpful as not many rentals provide those items. The hot tub was relaxing after a long day hiking & watching the seals in the water was great! If we ever get back to Trinidad we will absolutely stay at the Raven House! If you want to see the Redwoods then the quaint town of Trinidad is the place to stay. Friendly people & wonderful food! Murphy's Grocery was great, we'd get sandwiches made at the deli for picnics in the Redwoods, best burgers EVER at the Lighthouse & The Eatery was our all time favorite...we ate there 3 times! Thanks Trinidad Retreats for helping make our 40th Anniversary one we will never forget! Note: others mentioned the driveway, it is a bit steep & tricky to get in & out of & a bit confusing as there are 3 properties sharing this drive. The parking area is small 1 larger car or 2 smaller vehicles. Once you get the hang of it is well worth this minor inconvenience.
