Our family of eight just spent a 4-day weekend in Trinidad at Westhaven-Moonstone. The house was perfect for us! Beds for everyone with warm bedding. Kitchen was well appointed with plenty of dishes, pots & pans, coffee makers and other kitchen appliances. It was nice to have washer/dryer too. The best thing was the view of the ocean. We were fortunate to have some relaxing mornings watching the surfers and beautiful sunsets in the evenings. Lots of great beaches near by.

Nine seasoned adults from Wisconsin fell in love with the views of the ocean and cool nights. The home was comfortable, open and relaxing. The location was a short drive to so many options while the house felt like we owned the whole cliff.

We stayed with our family and my sisters family. Lots of room and fun things for kids of all ages. We especially liked all the amenities in the kitchen to cook having 9 people in our party. Thanks for the wonderful stay! Watson Family

Buyer beware. You need to know what you're getting into booking this house. I wish someone had warned us. The exterior is rusted, covered in dirt, webs and grime. Outbuildings on the property are full of junk and falling apart. The interior smells thickly of mold and must. Heavily dusty on top of all windows and mantles. We had to leave early because the odors from the house made us all sick. Headaches, runny noses, coughs that would get better during the day when we were out and worsen once we returned. We all tested daily and were/are covid negative. We simply cannot figure out how previous reviews have not mentioned the stench. This is a very old , thinly constructed house that has sat in moisture for decades. For the price, you would expect to have shades for wall lamps, better quality than plastic chairs, and more than cheap single-ply paper towels and toilet paper - etc. So disappointing. We were misled by the advertising for this property and hope that they will tell people up front how truly old and funky this house is.

Really loved this property. Lots of land overlooking water. House has charming decor, nice layout, beautiful views! Trinidad state beach is close by- very nice. My only recommendation is if you're fussy about pillows ( I am) I'd bring your own.

Great home, magnificent location…. The home was clean, plenty of towels, comfortable beds, and the kitchen had EVERYTHING needed for cooking meals. The backyard with fire pit was incredible. This property is awesome, and I would recommend it to any family for sure!

The property is really beautiful and large, with enough space outside to host a picnic or sit by the fire pit. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and is close to Trinidad and Arcata. The amenities inside are nice. We tried stargazing but the weather can get cloudy at night. A very comfortable house to spend a vacation in!

I loved the Sea Side escape cottage. Overall, it was a great home with amazing views. The only thing that needs addressing are the AWFUL beds. For this price point I’d expect a bit more comfortable beds. Other than that, great location, was very clean and well maintained.

The cottage had everything we needed and was close to amenities and attractions.
