Fabulous high end cabin near Redwood National Park
2 of us spent 3 nights at this fabulous cabin with two super comfortable beds with great linens, lots of towels and hot water in the shower. We did breakfast in the well equipped kitchen and ate on front porch surrounded by beauty. Chose long hikes (Tall Trees Grove and Fern Canyon you need res for) and gorgeous Trillium Falls (no res needed) and many beach walks for tide pools, great beauty. Owner put comprehensive book for renters on everything. Larrupin Cafe best grilled king salmon just caught that day I ever tasted. Another recommendation big disappointment——Moonstone Grill overpriced and no local anything. I will return to this gem of a cabin because these old growth redwoods are rare and exquisite and way beyond any redwoods I have seen in San Francisco area.

Tucked away gem in a great location
This is a beautiful cabin a short distance from a beautiful beach up a private road, surrounded by lush forest. The photos and description are accurate. The location can't be beat. It was very clean. The price, to us, was appropriate to the amenities. The owner is attentive, lives nearby, and has clearly responded to years of reviews and suggestions. It exceeded our expectations; our kids loved it. The kitchen was great. Yes, it is a bit small. But two people could cook in it. This kitchen is very well-appointed for a rental. Unless I missed it, there is no sous vide, but it has everything you need for making a nice meal. There were some spices, condiments, a few staples like flour. The knives were razor sharp--a sign of regular attention. A couple of thoughts based on other reviews. This is a cabin in rural Humboldt County. I'm not surprised to hear that some in the area prefer to be left alone. Neighbors nodded or waved at our family when we drove by. For people tucked up into the woods, they seemed tolerant of a nearby rental and a car driving back and forth, crammed to the hilt with kids and stuff and sporting out-of-state plates. Also, this a very nice cabin, but... it's a cabin. It is heated by wood. We appreciated the ridiculous amount of kindling and fire supplies. Although charming, I was reminded on night five of just how much work it is to heat a home with wood. I forgot my axe, and my wife laughed at me for saying so. But thankfully, the axe wasn't necessary. Anyway, I'm glad I was not the one splitting all these logs or filling the containers full of tiny kindling. I would probably have given myself a splinter, even though I have a beard. The only suggestion I can think to make is that the back yard could really use a hand-built, Finnish-style, wood-fired sauna--this would be nestled neatly into the hillside, like an illustration from an old picture-book version of The Hobbit. Other than that, this cabin had every detail we could possibly dream of.

A good getaway place for a “Family digital disconnection”
This was a nice little secluded place to get away from the rat race of modern daily living. Our family (consisting of two teenager daughters) enjoyed the quiet atmosphere and coziness of this cabin. We were though, frustrated for most the nights (all except for the first night) in keeping the fireplace going. It was raining the week we were there and the wood that was provided (since it was outside and not covered well enough) was wet and was hard to find dry pieces so that we could keep it going without constantly tending to it. The kitchen is super small and you could tell by looking at the pictures provided, but it was even smaller barely enough room for two people to be prepping and cooking. Utensils and cookware that was provided was not the best quality and not well stocked but we made do. Bottom line is that you basically pay for the secluded and cozy atmosphere because for the price you end up paying per night was not commensurate with what amenities and size of the space that the place had. We were also disappointed that there wasn’t a door for the one bedroom. As parents, it would’ve been nice to have some privacy and our own bathroom. For the amount of money, we would’ve expected a cabin resort with the extra services that vacation properties include.

Absolutely Perfect!!!
My wife and I LOVED this cabin. It felt like home. Whoever did the decor, did an outstanding job. You heat the place with 2 wood-burning stoves and they had left us with plenty of firewood, papers, and kindling that help to make it super easy. The bed and sofa were very comfy. I can't speak highly enough of this place and would recommend anyone looking for a cabin to stay here. We will most likely be back at some point in time. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property. - Brad & Suzie

Perfect location, cabin could use some work
The location of this cabin is fantastic. It is ideally located near the the Redwoods NP and SP. The cabin itself could have been cleaner.

Stone Lagoon cabin
We wholeheartedly enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and comfortable. We especially liked the master bedroom with the view of the changing maple leaves. The bed and bedding was super comfortable. We also appreciated the washer and dryer. The
cabin was the perfect home base for redwoods exploration and hiking.

hiking.

Charming and beautiful!
An unforgettable experience in a beautiful location. The cabin is just as charming as I imagined and we were lucky enough to experience an elk herd on our first day. It is serene and relaxing and I look forward to returning to Trinidad in the future!

Great atmosphere at the entrance to the Redwoods
we loved our stay at the Stone Lagoon Cabin! Coming from NJ, we were experiencing the Redwoods for the first time, and selected this location for our travels. It was comfortable and decorated perfectly for the area - made us feel that we were truly in North Country! Very quiet, and certainly off the beaten path (we were a bit frightened driving down the access the road to the cabin). Plenty of space for 2 people, and lots of comfort of home. Be aware that this is remote, so it is 20 minutes or more to any grocery stores or towns. We'd highly recommend it!

Little Cabin in the Woods
We had a great time staying at the Stone Lagoon Cabin. This was our 2nd time there. It is a great location close to all the hiking and beaches. The cabin is cozy and cute and has all the amenities plus that anyone would need. I would highly recommend this place. We will be back again.
