This condo was clean, neat, well decorated, well organized, and comfortable/homey. (See the owner's photos.) The view from the condo was beautiful. The many windows enabled us to get a lot of natural light. The condo does not have A.C., but the ceiling fan did cool the space remarkably well. When it got a little warm, we would just close or lower the blinds and raise another window or two. In fact, at night, we had to reduce the number of windows we opened because it got downright cold overnight. Considering that we stayed here in late June and considering that I am one of the most hot-natured people alive, the fact that the condo was sufficiently cool without A.C. is a minor miracle. We slept in the master bedroom; the mattress was very comfortable. The living room couch was also quite comfortable for lounging and sitting.
Whoever designed the internal layout knew how to maximize space. This made it possible to have 1.5 baths, a small, but full kitchen, a master bedroom (the half bath is off the master bedroom), a large living/dining area that includes a large multi-sectional couch, and a small fireplace nook (complete with couch) in a relatively small space. Space maximization, of course, involves tradeoffs: (1) The full bath is downstairs directly behind the kitchen. (2) The refrigerator opens "the wrong way". (3) The kitchen is small. (4) The master bedroom is a loft bedroom, so you have to climb stairs to get to the bedroom. Since it was just the two of us, (1)-(3) did not present a problem. (4) was a bit tricky because my husband has significant back problems. The steps leading up to the bedroom are a bit steep and the drop off from the bottom of the staircase to the raised platform below is also a bit steep. ("Platform" is not the right word, but I can't think of a better one. There's also a steep drop off from the platform to the living room area.) After a few trips up and down, I got used to the staircase. However, my husband has back problems and found it tiring to climb up and down the staircase multiple times a day.
The condo staff were pleasant and efficient. The building in which the condo is housed needs some work, especially in the hallways between the elevator and the condos. Of course, you won't be spending a lot of time in the hallways :). The condo association supplies linens and towels, bath products, coffee supplies for the first day, paper towels, facial tissue, and toilet tissue. The toilet paper left a lot to be desired, but it's not a big deal to bring your own toilet paper. We used the hot tubs twice; they appeared to be clean and well maintained.
Beth was a pleasure to work with. She gave us all the information we needed and responded to any questions we had. We did not need to contact her once we arrived, but I'm sure she would have been helpful had we needed to do so.
Bottom Line: I really liked this condo and would recommend it to just about everyone. Because of the staircase and platform, if your mobility is seriously compromised or if you have active toddlers, this condo might not be the best fit for you.
