I advise not to book if you are doing so for the hot tub because it is disgusting. The host charges a substantial cleaning fee but will try to get more money from you for things like unwashed dishes. You have to take your own...More

We stay every year at either this cottage or the one next door and once again it was a brilliant weekend. The cottage is always clean and the owners are so welcoming and at hand for anything you need!

Cannot fault our stay, Keith and Wendy are a lovely friendly couple and keep their cottages immaculate and made us feel very welcome. This is our third visit back to the cottages and will continue to come and stay.

Stayed in a lovely barn conversion in Welshampton, Shropshire. Nothing was to much trouble for the owners. There are several quaint villages and Shrewsbury and and Chester were steeped in shops and history. Visited Drayton Manor Theme park about and hour and a quarter away....More

We hired the cottage for a friends 30th birthday and it was perfect, very clean and well kept. Keith really looked after us and made us feel welcome. We had a great time and would defiantly go back.

Loads to do we have hot tub large garden pub 2 mins walk and the food and beers brilliant we’ve got Ellesmere 1.8 miles foot paths to the Ellesmere lakes Cannel boats to hire Segway track,go kart tracks, local clay Shootting you name it we’ve got it fun for all. national Trust castle, stately homes, garden centres Shrewsbury 20 mins Chester races 30 mins if you’ve got children how about Chester zoo or the ice cream farm at Tatten Hall for the more sporty there is a local cycle hire and plenty of interesting rides to do. For water sports how about canoeing or sailing. Take in a tour of the old prison in Shrewsbury it’s meant to be haunted. Fancy a shopping trip how about Cheshire oaks outlet.
Getting around
There are plenty of walks available and cycling, or if you frantically a less strenuous day Whitchurch train station is 20 minuets away by car if you fancy a day out in Manchester or Liverpool straight through trains free car parking at the station. There is a local golf club where you can pay and play with club hire available or for the ladies we have some very good beauticians in Ellesmere why not pamper yourself we could maybe arrange something for you at the Barn with prior notice.
