I have booked accommodation around Europe for the past 20 years and I must say this is up there with the very best. Yvonne & Becky where so welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. A warm welcome at this outstanding family house. Perfect spot at which to base yourselves for exploring North Somerset. Lovely walks from the house, Cheddar Gorge and Reservoir, Wells cathedral, Weston beach, Glastonbury, Street outlet Village all within easy striking distance. House is warm, beautifully furnished and had all we needed for a restful family break. Many thanks to the excellent hosts.

We had a week's holiday at Sleight View House. Yvonne made us so welcome with a wonderful hamper of goodies with Proscecco. Lots of other little extras. Very warm and comfortable. Good base for the exploring the area. We visited Wells, N.T. Lytes Carey, climbed up to Glastonbury Tor and the rather strenuous Gorge walk in the snowy conditions. Would certainly recommend Sleight View House.

Sleights View was lovely. A luxury cottage holiday with clean, stylish bedrooms, lounge, dining room, 3 toilets (luxury for our family of 3!) - the *best* equipped kitchen we've ever had in a rental/airbnb. We stayed at Christmas and Yvonne made us feel really welcome on arrival, and had left a food hamper, and decorated the house for a very special Christmas.

This house is conveniently situated near the village of Cheddar in the beautiful Mendip Hills. It is within easy reach of Wells and Bath and the coast at Weston-super-Mare. We were very impressed with the decor and cleanliness of the house - Yvonne had gone to a lot of trouble to make guests feel welcome, including the provision of a lovely hamper of locally sourced goodies (including bubbly!) and some essentials in the fridge. The rooms are well laid out and the beds extremely comfortable. We were a family of 5 including a 3 year-old, 12 year-old and a couple of pensioners. The conservatory was a lovely place to relax in and we all enjoyed playing the games provided and our youngest loved the toys, which was a nice touch. We will definitely come again when we're next looking for somewhere to stay in this area.

Sleight View House is close to Wells, Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole also 28 miles from Bath. Car needed to fully explore the area though also close to Mendip Hills, shop and local pub. House is very well kept and we would love to visit again also equipped with wi-fi and flat screen televisions with catch up. We had a very warm welcome from the owner who was helpful when needed. Amazing home and lovely host she went out of her way to help. Highly recommend this home and the welcome hamper was lovely. Would like to visit again.
