The cottage is situated in the Welsh Village of North Cornelly, close to the Victorian seaside town of Porthcawl. Placed with excellent road links to the Vale Of Glamorgan Heritage Coast, the Gower Peninsula, the Brecon Beacons National Park, Neath Valley, and only a 20 minute drive to Cardiff the Capital City of Wales. For golfers there are 3 courses all within a 10 minute drive, including The Royal Porthcawl, and Pyle & Kenfig, both holding major events. Margam Park and Castle has lots of activities for children only a 10 minute drive away. The cottage is 150 years old, and originally belonged to The manor of North Cornelly. It was originally 2 buildings for farm workers of The Manor, and over the years has had major internal alterations. We have lovingly restored it to a very high standard, with quality furnishings and decor, and hopefully we have incorporated all the comforts you expect. There is a well- equipped spacious kitchen with range cooker for those wishing to create culinary delights, while the rest of the guests enjoy chatting at the dining table waiting in anticipation. The living room is comfortable and spacious, with TV, DVD player, and a selection DVD's and board games. The french doors look out on to the private enclosed rear garden. Outdoor table and chairs and BBQ available. There are 3 pretty bedrooms, one with King size bed , one with a double bed, and the other a single bed. The stairway is steep and narrow and typical of a cottage, so not recommended for very small children . The family bathroom is spacious, with hand held shower over bath. The separate shower room with rainfall shower, also incorporates a sauna. The property itself benefits from having WiFi, digital TV, gas central heating, hairdryer , bed linen and towels. There are TV's with free view in 2 of the bedrooms. Street parking available with no restrictions. More

Excellent

Gorgeous cottage, presented beautifully. Had everything we needed for our 4 night stay and was in a great location. If you have small children you might want to be a bit mindful of the stairs but could not fault at all and will definitely stay...More

Excellent base if you are in the area

We stayed here when visiting relatives over Xmas. It proved perfect for the five of us. It was delightful to have a Xmas tree in the lounge to welcome us. The kitchen facilities were excellent as were all of the rooms. Parking was not a...More

As Beautiful As Ever

A really nice place

We lived there for one week. It was a good time. Nice clean rooms. A fantastic kitchen, good equipped and a comfortable livingroom. We really enjoyed our time there.

We have the Kenfig Nature Reserve and sand dunes within a 5 minute drive or a 30 minute walk, where you can take the nature trail over to the great expanse of Sker Beach. Feeling in a hiking mood, then follow the coast over to lovely Pink Bay with it's pink colour rocks. Next bay over is Rest Bay, very popular with surfers, then you can walk into the seaside town of Porthcawl. Margam Castle and Park, with lovely grounds and activities for children, is only 10 minutes away. There are 3 Golf courses all within a 10 minute drive. Horse riding available nearby at Ogmore-By-Sea. Designer Outlet Center McArthur Glen 20 minute drive away., and for a visit to the Capital City Of Cardiff, only a 30 minute drive or 20 minutes by train.
