We had a wonderful stay at Cold Stream Cottages. Our kids loved swimming to the rocks and exploring in and out of the water and saw turtles, friendly ducks, signs of beavers and muskrats, and caught plenty of frogs. Our littlest loved splashing in the shallow, pebbly/sandy area and we all loved floating on the inflatable mat or in tubes we brought. The paddle boat was a game changer in bringing kids out on fishing excursions (and we caught many- mostly sunfish and a few small mouth bass) and on adventures out to Blueberry Island (as the locals call it). We picked loads and loads of blueberries and explored the island and even found a geocache with treasures. The kayaks were great for solo fishing trips early in the morning or night paddles to watch the stars. We enjoyed warming up by the fire at night, listening to the lovely loons, and looking at the brilliant stars. On the rainy days, we watched movies on the big screen tv and played games and ventured into town for browsing at a local thrift shop and Mardens. It was a perfect Maine vacation.

What a great place to vacation had a great time fishing and swimming picking blueberries out on the island which is not far from the camp watching the loons making s’mores at the campfire and everything was very clean and comfortable we didn’t want to leave wish we could’ve stayed longer will definitely be back going back

We couldn't be more pleased with our recent stay at Cold Stream Cottage. The house is outfitted with well thought out amenities to ensure a comfortable, relaxing, care-free stay. The home was exceptionally clean and neatly organized. The view of the lake is amazing, a slice of paradise on this beautiful lake. We had the lake practically to ourselves and enjoyed boating, kayaking and fishing right from the beach. Having a launch on the property was so convenient and a pleasant surprise. Before our trip even ended we were talking about how much we would love to come back again. Such an amazing property and thoughtful hosts made this a vacation to remember. Our family stayed at this home in July of 2022, we have two boys, 7 & 9 yrs old, we also were able to bring our two dogs as well, which was a huge plus for us. Pulling into the driveway at the end of the road, we were stunned by the view, wow, it’s just truly beautiful. The lake is gorgeous and the spot felt incredibly private, we barely saw anyone during our stay. We enjoyed using the kayaks and the paddle boat, my husband and boys did a decent amount of fishing and caught a number of small bass. The rocks just off the coast were fun to explore and swim around. The water is so clear too! The dogs loved sitting on the small sandy beach and playing catch in the large yard. And the fire pit was very nice, directly on the water with beautiful views of the lake and rolling hills in the background. The house appeared to be recently updated and the furniture looks new, the a/c was also nice. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed and the hosts supplied cute baskets with additional supplies for the kitchen & bathroom as well. The beds were comfortable and the comforters were very cozy. We found the house itself to be very clean & comfortable and nicely decorated. We selected this location hoping to unplug and relax and we were certainly able to do that. There was so much to do at the property & lake that we only left a couple of times! We really had the best time and look forward to visiting again. Thank you to the hosts for a great trip for our family.
