Wonderful,place to stay. The owners were very friendly, helpful, and responsive. I can’t wait to come back!

We have been coming Up North for years, and the Bartos/ Herb home is perfect for folks living far away. It has more than one needs for a most comfortable stay-the 3 king beds are extremely comfortable after a day of fishing & kayaking, the kitchen is well equiped, and the comfortable living space with large TV allows one to follow the Detroit Tigers or view a film. The home is situated on the best side of the lake as the best fishing spots are close by, and the loons, eagles, etc are easily viewed. The home also is situated close to Sleeping Bear dunes, all that the Leewanau peninsula offers, and the Interlochen music events. We will return!

This house was absolutely perfect for my family! It was very clean, right on the lake and far exceeded our expectations! We have 4 teenagers and the bedding was prefect- there is a king bed on the main floor (master with private bathroom) and upstairs there are two rooms with multiple beds. In the girls room, there was a queen (or king) bed and a twin with a trundle. In the boys room, there is a queen or king and a double bed. Perfect for teens who don't want to sleep together! There were little treasures in this house that made it fun for me. There were spices in the cabinet, condiments in the fridge (even homemade jam from Iowa), different soaps and shampoo under the sinks and much more. I loved that other families left little things from their stay and we were able to benefit from it! The lake was beautiful and the kayaks and paddleboat were a lot of fun! I loved listening to the ducks "laugh" from the patio each morning! The owners are amazing and answered my texts quickly, if I had a question. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back! I highly recommend this house! It's perfect!

Spacious, great ammenties, extra sports equipment, and especially paddle boat were great! Wraparound porch, campfire area--all enjoyable.

Had a great time, this is a very good central location to do things in the Traverse area. Cottage is spacious and nice. The only downside is the water front is small, shallow, and very muddy. So not a good place if you want a sandy beach and swimming.

Enjoyed time with family, nice quiet location on lake Ann. Great for playing with kayaks and paddle boats. Great place to relax and unwind.

We were attending a wedding in Interlochen. We had 3 couples, so this property sounded perfect. The house is located on the river, but looks out to the lake. Our weather was not great. Very rainy week. We did manage a couple of camp fires. The guys did some fishing. Over all the property worked out fine.

Loved the wrap-around porch, and access to the lake. This is in a quiet cove with great fishing right in the cove. Kayaks and 2-person paddleboat were all in good condition. Kitchen had everything we needed. Island area, lots of utensils, pans, etc. Gas grill outside worked great. Internet and cable TV worked well. Bedrooms are big, especially the upstairs ones. Beds were comfy. A big grocery store (Toms) is a short drive south. Lake Ann pizza and beer places were fantastic. Traverse City is close and has everything. Sleeping bear dunes is 20 minutes. Lots of nice golf courses around. Overall, a great place to stay.

Very nice home. Clean , roomy and comfortable. Good fishing and nice water.

It was a very pleasant home with lots of room and the fishing was good. Planning on going again next year.
