I have been going to Side Lake for summer vacations for over 50 years and was so happy to find this cabin available which was almost next door to the cabin I went to as a child. The cabin was clean, plenty of bedding, games and beds available. My family had a wonderful time.

We had a great 3 day stay at this little cabin! It was very clean and had many extras available to make cooking and relaxing easy! It is on Hwy. 5 so a bit of traffic goes by; it is across the road from Side Lake, with other cabins on the lake so there really isn't a view of the lake. However it is a couple minute's walk to a public access dock across from Bimbo's Octagon, a local restaurant/bar. It is just a few minutes drive to McCarthy Beach State Park, and that is the location we wanted to be near! It is a perfect spot for that access, as the beach and its swimming and sunsets are incredible. Many hiking trails in the park to the north of the cabin are also a quick drive. The cabin is cozy and well stocked, with chairs on the deck and a great fire ring out back. The 3 of us had plenty of space; there are twin beds for 6 and a Queen, however I'd say it would be tight if you had 6-8 people. It is near to Chisholm, Hibbing and Buhl, with great disc golf courses in each of those towns and one at Side Lake very near the cabin, so if you want to DG, this is a great spot! We highly recommend Sammy's Pizza (the original) in Hibbing and Valentini's in Chisholm if you want a nice Italian meal out. We cooked at the cabin also and it is very well equipped with everything you'd need! We always appreciate that! Emily was available with a text or call. We enjoyed the peaceful cabin and the beautiful area!

We were here to enjoy visiting family nearby and to enjoy the outdoors. We were happy to have this cabin as a place to rest when we needed some quiet time. It was just right.

We felt like we were guests at a family member’s cabIn. Anything we needed was there. Appreciated the extras like coffee, cooking supplies, etc. Wished we could have stayed longer so we could make use of the State Park. Side Lake is like an oasis in the woods.

Good space, comfortable, good location: close to many lakes and state parks, trails, boating activities, hiking and close to multiple restaurants, Hibbing & Chisholm and activities in that part of the Iron Range.

We didn't need or expect fancy. For the price, it was nice and had all we needed. Didn't care for the left over condiments left in the freezer or refrig but I'm sure there are those who appreciate that. All in all it was a nice stay.

My family & I loved our stay at Emily’s cabin! Beautiful location right in Side Lake. Clean, comfy & cozy little cabin for our family to stay at while we enjoyed our time up north. Wonderful communication from Emily. Would definitely stay here again!

Really close to everything! A great deal.

This adorable little cabin was perfect for my aging parents and 10 year old grandson. Spent four days enjoying the state park where there’s a sandy swimming beach for my grandson and a fishing pier for all the rest of us. Unfortunately the first night we were there we experienced a wind storm which took out our power. We were without power until Wednesday afternoon. Emily was so kind as to help out with this situation by supplying us with plenty of water to get through it. She went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I would highly recommend this place. It’s clean and has lots of things already furnished such as seasonings, condiments, and even toiletries. We also enjoyed playing the board games there. We will definitely be coming here again. Thanks Emily for your thoughtfulness and kindness!!
