Island View is an exceptional lakeside home where you can just enjoy the beauty of northern Lake George which is much more peaceful than the southern area. Hague is a beautiful town. The Market has all you need. Ticonderoga is only 10 miles away if you want the Walmart. My wife and I and our faithful dog Charlie had a great week. Friends and cousins from the area came to visit and we just sat on the terrace and relaxed. Sandy and Bruce are great hosts and will meet your every need. Not that you need anything. S’mores for all!

Vacation home had everything we needed for a fun getaway. Home is right on the water. Quiet, beautiful, & restful. Owners were very helpful with all aspects from checking into home to making sure we were all set after the 1st night. Thank you Sandra & Bruce

We had a wonderful, restful and really enjoyable time at this rental. The house is right on the lake and a short walk from the town beach. We highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a restful lake getaway.

Perfect cabin on the lake is exactly how id describe the Island View home. It’s in a quiet location on the northern part of lake George and I feel like we couldn’t have picked a better spot. My husband , myself and our two kids ( ages 5 and 1) came up to the lake Columbus Day weekend to enjoy the beautiful fall foliage , do some hiking, and just relax indoors by the lake. We lucked out and had perfect weather all weekend. The hiking around the house was close by with many trails to choose from. We love renting cabins in the woods and the inside of this house felt just like that only we were on a lake! Every little detail and decoration in this house was cozy and inviting. We loved sitting at the bar looking out at the lake and I personally loved the little booth they had tucked in the corner. It was also so lovely to wake up to the view in the master bedroom. We drove to dinner in Bolton landing two of the nights. It was about a 20-25 min drive but very relaxing and scenic with the turned leaves. Sandra was such a pleasure to rent from. She gave us very detailed instructions on how to get to the cabin as well as many dining options around Lake George. She is also very helpful with all the little details about the town you might not think of before arriving. She loves her town of Hague and it’s easy to see why! This was our first visit to Lake George and I think the fall might be the best time to come! We can’t wait to return and will definitely be looking to rent from Sandra again. It was exactly what we were looking for!

Our group of friends and family have been coming to Island View for 6 years now, because it has everything we need. Bruce and Sandy are so friendly, and we have become good friends with them. We love sitting on the patio just a few feet from the water and walking out on the dock and hopping in our boat. The views are specatacular, and we can walk to the general store anytime we need anything. We come to relax and fish. We cook most of our meals at “home” at Island View, as the kitchen has everything we need. A really big fridge for all the food we bring with us. You can’t ask for a more relaxing and beautiful spot. We will be back for many years to come, so don’t even think about getting our week!!

Really enjoyed being right on the lake !!!

Our second time back in September. A perfect time to be at Lake George. Hague is a very quiet town on the northern part of the lake, and Island View is a perfect place to relax. Don’t expect night life, restaurants, etc. In fact the only restaurant in town closes in September. But we bring lots of food and the kitchen is fully equipped. The drive to Ticonderoga is beautiful, with a golf course along the way. Mostly we just come to relax and get away from the hecticness of everyday life. It’s hard to leave!

First time staying at Island View. First and foremost, owner Sandra was very attentive, responsive and helpful to all queries before the visit and needs during the stay. The location is outstanding. The house practically hangs over the water and the views from practically every room are awesome. Easy walk to everything needed for a relaxing week - small general store, nice pub and restaurant (Firehouse), free town beach and two other parks (Peggy’s Point and Hague Falls). Boat rentals within a couple hundred yards. Town of Ticonderoga is 15 Minutes of easy driving for all major supplies (WalMart Supercenter). Bolton Landing with nice shops and restaurants is 25 minutes south on Rt 9N. The house is filled with area information and history as well as tons of windows and slider doors opening to the lake. Fast wireless (I did a speed test and it came in at 55 mbps) and streaming services set up for you to log in and enjoy on rainy afternoons or cozy evenings. Big outdoor fire pit was a treat as well. The house was a former small restaurant so the inside living area has a big bar and somewhat unconventional kitchen but these elements added character rather than inconvenience. The only downside (and it was minor) was no washer or dryer on site so bring extra clothes or wear stuff more than once (like we did - it’s a vacation in the North Country so nobody is too worried about fashion)! The popularity of Island View is well deserved and it’s a great value so go for it!

The home is cozy and warm. Simple access to the lake and the near by Dockside boat rental made things very simple. The cliff’s across the lake make for an exciting time. Bruce and Sandie are special people with good natures and big hearts. They are welcoming hosts. Fort Ticonderoga nearby is a must see. The views for Defiance is absolutely breath taking. For a rainy day Queensbury theaters are not that far away, especially if you combine it with the day of shopping in Lake George. I recommend this place for anyone thinking about spending some time on Lake George.
