Our stay was great. The pictures do not lie, the views are really that good, and then some. Seeing the sun come up was great!
As the listing states, the marina operates during the day. As others stated, typically the office opened around 7:15am, sometimes the mechanics where a little earlier. Didn’t bother us, was up and watched all the action. By 5 or 6pm it was a ghost town, had the place all to ourselves; that was the best part. All the staff was very nice and answered any questions we had.
We took the advice of one of the other reviewers and walked to the Hague Market one morning, great breakfast sandwich. And the cookies, pastries and muffins were very good too.
Not sure if it was the time of year we went, or the normal, but a lot of places are closed on Monday. We ended up going to the Algonquin, in Bolton Landing, great food.
The biscuits at the Hot Biscuit diner were huge. You have to get the strawberry shortcake. About 10-15 minutes away in Ticonderoga.
The Windchill, about 10 minutes in Ticonderoga, had awesome ice cream. The medium cone was bigger than any large I’ve ever gotten. The sundaes were so good we went back the next day. They have food too, but we only tried the wings, which were very good.
The Star Trek experience, in Ticonderoga, is definitely worth it. Full size replica of the set. Yes, even the bridge. It is a guided tour and learned a lot. Even my non-fan spouse enjoyed it.
Yes, we would definitely stay there again.
