Each of our 4 luxury rooms with en-suite bathroom benefits from a private veranda, from which you'll be able to enjoy the most stunning views of the islands and of the animated life on the beach: fishermen coming back with their daily catch, women carrying baskets of crabs on their heads as they walk along the shore, children playing on the sands. On Sundays, you'll also be lulled by the beautiful sound of the all-female choir singing in the church next door.
Keeping in mind that summers can be hot, we've designed our rooms to keep them cool with natural ventilation. The ocean's breeze which will flow into your rooms can be boosted with the very silent fans placed above your beds.
Casa Babi offers a proper taste of Africa with all the European comfort, including a swimming pool that you will give you a welcome respite from the warmth of the midday sun.
Our private restaurant, open to our guests only, prepares different meals every day, based on a fusion of local fresh products and recipes with an international touch. Don't expect a long menu. We cook based on what we have found in the market that day! An example? Crab quiche and salad as a starter, fish stir-fried with vegetables and coconut rice and mango mousse for dessert. Or, prawns in coconut milk soup, roast chicken with spices and manioc followed by banana flambée. We think there's nothing better than recounting the days adventures at sea while enjoying a pleasant dinner.
Abbiamo trascorso 4 giorni stupendi e di completo relax a Casa Babi. I proprietari sono delle persone molto accoglienti e gentili. Il personale è sempre disponibile in ogni occasione. Le camere pulitissime e sempre in ordine, arredate in stile è con gusto. Servizi offerti di ogni tipo, dalle escursioni alle lezioni diving alla possibilità di usufruire di sedute di massaggi e yoga.
Nota aggiuntiva merita la cucina: si mangia veramente bene e con giuste porzioni.
Noi abbiamo mangiato principalmente pesce sia a pranzo che a cena, ottimamente cucinato e freschissimo.

Perfect break! Definitely returning!
We were 2 friends on a short holiday to Vilanculo. The online reviews on Casa Babi seemed positive and so we booked to stay there. Best decision ever! Sabrina was just legend!!! She was ever so helpful when we missed our flight from Maputo and even helped us work out other options to get there.
From the airport pick up, Casa Babi staff were very accommodating and full of information which made our stay more enjoyable. The lodge itself is in a great location and right by the water. The rooms were very clean and we enjoyed our welcome drinks😍 The food was delicious and there was a good range of choice. Casa Babi is affiliated with the best Dive club in Vilanculo- Odyssea - which also organises safaris to the Bazaruto island. Quite breathtaking. All-in-all, I'd score them a 5-star. Will definitely go back. Thanks Sabrina and Denis! (Ps: you'll enjoy the very friendly four-legged companions, who were very gently with a couple of toddlers staying there at the time.)
