We rented this house because it listed lakefront. That was a huge disappointment. It’s across the street and just a rocky area unfit to swim or really do anything other than stand and look at the lake. We ended up going to the Mayfield Town Beach and paying $10 to park one day and the Wells Town Beach the next. We did enjoy the house. The kids loved the pool table and spent plenty of time playing pool! The beds were very comfortable and the house provided room for everyone to spread out as well as hang together. There were cupboards full of dishes and pots and pans, but a strange absence of basic drinking glasses. We never used the grill or outdoor fire pit. The central air was a welcome blessing. As a gathering spot, it was perfect, just not as a waterfront spot. I had scoured the reviews before renting and no one mentioned the waterfront quality so I wasn’t aware that we wouldn’t be able to swim there. I want to make that clear for anyone else considering this property. There’s plenty of positives about this property, but the lakefront isn’t one of them.

If you are looking for a place that is at the lake and with boat dock this is the place. Clean and plenty of room for a family of 6 even though it was just the three of us. We enjoyed the fire pit and the out door picnic areas at the house and at the beach.

We had a very relaxing time! The house was clean and had ample space for our family. The surrounding town was quaint and the people were incredibly friendly. We made several day trips and found great places to eat!

Though I only stayed for about 13 hours, it was a warm and cozy home in a great location!

Great house for entertaining family. We just stayed a night. We were in town picking up family for the holidays.

This was our 4th year staying in this rental and we never have been disappointed in the lodgings, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable furnishings make for a great stay. We always get instant response from the owners if we have a question or concern(of which there were few). great place!!!

Every experience that I have had staying at this property has been a positive one, and would recommend to ant family and friends. Everything is as advertised and owners are very friendly and communication is prompt and clear. Cozy home with plenty of space for guests, private beach area perfect for family and kids. I would definitely stay here again! A+ experiences!

Celebrated a friend's retirement with a much needed stay in the southern Adirondacks. The house was perfect (though it was a little confusing where to turn off the main road) with a new kitchen and a great fireplace. We enjoyed discovering the oldest surviving Five & Ten in the US in town. If not for the rain we would have poked in most of the shops on Main Street. Quiet, clean and relaxing. Thanks again Dave & Chris for letting us stay in your home.

The house is very spacious had room for everyone. The back patio was great for a little fire in a little get together with our friends and family we had our second grandbaby so we had a lot of people up to see the baby. The house accommodated all our needs.

The communication with the owners was always very easy and thorough. We look forward to renting this place again next year.
