The cabin is new, clean, spacious, and has gorgeous new appliances. The kitchen is well stocked, but we did go to the Dollar General for a few serving bowls. The beds are comfy, the fireplace in the living room is cozy, and the screened porch in the back is peaceful, with seating for six. I would definitely come back, it’s a really nice place in a nice area.

Absolutely beautiful home. We had a wonderful time staying in Dave & Jens cabin. The owners were wonderful to deal with. Hope to get to stay in one of their homes again.

Wonderful cabin nestled in the woods with just enough seclusion for privacy but still close enough to conveniences. The deer and fawn grazing on the grass in the morning added to the atmosphere. Kitchen was very well equipped with great appliances. Great home for a family get away. Kids loved the game room in the basement.

A perfect house for a wonderful weekend of hiking and relaxing. The owner was very responsive to any and all questions we had, kayaks were easy to find down the road (look for the wooden flag), trail advice was detailed (we did an out and back on the Northville-Placid Trail), and the house was clean, updated, and had all of the amenities you could ask for including some firewood left for us.

Perfect location for a quiet getaway! Not too far, but far enough (from Long Island). Very inviting home with everything you need. Made us and our little dog feel like we belonged. Northville and Wells provided us everything we needed to make our experience complete.

This home is absolutely beautiful! It is even better than the pictures! The owners were also extremely accommodating and friendly. My family and I had such a comfortable and enjoyable stay while we were here and we would love to rent this property again in the future.

We loved this house! We spent three nights to spend some quiet time in the woods and visit grandparents after way way too long. The weather turned chilly (and rainy) at times, so we really appreciated the fabulous fireplace and space to visit.The kids (three and five) LOVED the bunk beds and air hockey table. [I was concerned about having the kids near the balcony in the adjoining room, but we were able to block the door with the dresser]. We took advantage of the fire ring (smores!), the big yard to run around in, and the canoe (saw a bald eagle fly by us on our boat ride!). We also went on hikes to Auger Falls, as well Kunjamuk Cave (where we found lots of red efts salamanders.) The house is on a major road, so if you are one to want to go for a walk/run right out of the house, it's not ideal - but the location makes it easier to drive to the places you want to go. It's also only a few minutes down the street from the Alpine, which offers up some pretty tasty take out.

What a beautiful home in the ADKs! Our family was craving an escape from home after over a year of pandemic schooling and intensity at work. This home was just the place to be! Our 10 and 8 year old loved sleeping in the loft and escaping to the basement when the woke up before us. Our 2 year old slept in a packn play in the closet in the Master first floor bedroom, we stayed in the Master. The cabin is well appointed, with a great kitchen to cook and entertain. The kids enjoyed the games and the little vehicle/road Melissa & Doug playmat rug was a great touch! We could easily have shared the cabin with another family or grandparents—so much room! And the openness makes it feel even bigger. The location is a short drive from many hiking spots. The hosts are so helpful in providing ideas. Our favorite spot was a tie between the little town 7 minutes down the highway and the large state campground where we picnicked, there rocks in the water and hiked around. We may be back for warmer weather to do more hiking (lots of ice was hanging around in April as it does in ADKs), and to enjoy some of the nearby water! The generosity and hospitality of the hosts cannot be understated. They are wonderful!

This vacation was a great family experience. It was a first visit to this part of the New York State Adirondack Mountains. Everything was first rate and access to local restaurants and hiking was wonderful. The cabin was superb with all needs met. The TV was never turned on.

This place was amazing. If you want total peace and quiet, and to be surrounded by beautiful nature, this is the place for you! The house was perfect. My kids had a blast.
