The view can be enjoyed from the 2,000 square foot wrap around deck and covered porch or from inside the home on all three levels through the abundant glass. The property has 550 feet of frontage on the East Branch of the Ausable River. Walk, hike, or cross country ski on the secluded and quiet property. More extensive hiking can be found in the surrounding High Peaks Region. We are six miles from Whiteface Mountain Ski area so you can be on the slopes in minutes. Lake Placid and the Olympic Village are just a nineteen mile ride where you can find many shops, restaurants, and activities. Rivers, lakes, and streams can be found in every direction to enjoy boating, fishing, canoeing, or swimming. Back at the house there is plenty of room to relax with over 4200 sq. feet of living space without a neighbor in sight. The home features a great room on the main floor with twenty six foot high ceilings and a full glass front to let in the view. A center fireplace with a large stone chimney is the only divide between the great room, dining room, kitchen, and foyer to provide a spacious gathering area with plenty of seating. The kitchen has green shaker style cabinets with granite counter tops and stainless appliances and is stocked with all the cookware and settings you need. Also located on the main floor is the master bedroom suite with a king size bed and a walk in closet which has a laundry set. The master bath has a whirlpool tub and a walk in 8' x 4' shower with dual shower heads. There is also a half bath on the main floor. Upstairs there are a total of three bedrooms - two bedrooms with king beds and one bedroom with a twin over twin bunk with a twin trundle as well as a twin over full bunk. The second floor also has two full baths and a large loft area with a queen futon. On the lower level there is a fifth bedroom with a queen bed and a sixth bedroom with a twin over full bunk with a full trundle. There is also another full bath, a separate second laundry set, and a very large rec room with a pullout sofa. For the little ones, we also provide a crib with a mattress, a high chair, and a pack 'n play. The lower floor also has a 6 person sauna and walkout to a 7 person hot tub with views! There is also an automatic whole-house backup generator on premises so that mother nature doesn't interfere with your stay! Winter months of January, February and March - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. MLK and Presidents Day are 4 night minimums. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Summer months of June have 3 Night Weekend minimum and July and August have 5-7 Night minimums, depending on the week and availability. Some exceptions apply and shorter stays are possible, depending on availability, so please submit an inquiry. Fall months of September and October - 3 Night Weekend minimums and 2 Night Mid-Week minimums. The East Branch of the AuSable - Flowing out of the AuSable Lakes above Keene Valley, this little sister of the West Branch is often overshadowed by it. Yet it proves to be a productive in quantity of fish as the West Branch, if not quality. An easily waded stream, passing through meadow land, it traces its lazy flow from Keene Valley to Keene, then on to Upper Jay and Jay before joining up in AuSable Forks with the West Branch.
