Positives: lovely, secluded setting; big kitchen; 3 good sized bedrooms; owners offered early check-in; responded quickly to most messages. Our family has rented close to 20 homes through VRBO and other sites, we have 100% good feedback and we’ve never left negative feedback like this. This was a high end rental so we expected more from it than our usual budget places. The owner I know will add comments about trying but it is not enough. Getting a cheese grater the next day, when you are ¾ of the way through making home made pizza for seven, is not helpful. False information in the ad: 1) There are NO stairs going to beach as advertised. You either walk down the road to the sand beach or go over a steep bank and get down on a log that has been propped up against the bank. Huge impact on our mobility impaired son. 2) Broke jets in the “jetted tub.” Very disappointing, discovered second last night, too tired of issues to reach out to owners yet again as highly unlikely could be fixed for us anyway. 3) There is NO fourth bedroom. Huge issue for us; we have three teenagers and needed 4 bedrooms. Their f4th bedroom is attached to master with no door, no closet, no dresser, no mirror, no curtains the many windows. My teen girl had to stay there, she was nervous re: lack of window coverings, no privacy for her or us in the master. It’s a nice room, good view- not a bedroom Disappointing amenities and functionality of the house: 4) Using the kitchen was a nightmare: many basic amenities missing or broken: broken can opener, no peeler, no cheese grater to name a few. 5) A few spices but no other kitchen staples that are usually provided in our experience. Stock up before arriving, in Charlottetown as closest store is 25 min away. And expensive. tely no oils or basic kitchen staples so make sure you stock up before arriving—and do this in Charlottetown because the closest store is about 20-25 min away. Owners blamed COVID but two other rentals during COVID not like this. 7) Cabinet organization horrible. Nowhere to store food as every cabinet filled with clutter—way too many dishes, but barely any drinking glasses. Aside from clutter, no sense to where things were: may sound petty but every meal took longer and was way more of a chore because of this. I shared all this with the owners-no response until we checked out-ignored request for discount, providing some missed stuff next day absolutely not enough in this case.

Our vacation to Prince Edward Island was a much-needed getaway and our stay at Sunset Suite did not disappoint. The quaint cottage is set in an idyllic, peaceful location. The sunsets each evening were picturesque and just kept getting better. The cottage was wonderfully kept and had every amenity we needed. We loved looking at the ocean and feeling that ocean breeze. Our six year old son enjoyed walking down to the beach, digging in the soft red sand, and exploring the rocks. Even our dogs enjoyed themselves! Don and Diane are wonderful hosts. They kindly answered all our questions, recommended places to visit on PEI, and made certain we had everything we needed. Don and Diane were truly gracious hosts. We cannot wait to return to Sunset Suite!

This house is advertised as having an immaculate sand beach. According to the property manager that was all wiped out by a storm last winter. The listing and the pictures were not updated. False advertising. Reached out to the owners about this and no reply at this point.

Great property. Two families with adult children dropping in and out. Lots of room to relax with your own space. The sunsets were beautiful over the water. Beach was great and provided hours of fun.

My wife and I were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. We had originally intended to go to Hawaii but, due to Covid, we decided upon this property in PEI instead. We were thoroughly pleased with our stay! The cottage is beautiful and fully equipped. It is at the end of the lane, so very quiet, tranquil and with the most spectacular views of sunsets that I have ever seen. The cottage is placed such you can see both sunrise and sunsets, although the sunrises were a little too early for us..lol. A short walk along a path and across a few rocks and you will be able to walk upon kilometers/miles of sandy beaches. We nearly walked to the Greenwich Beach (approx. 3 kilometers) and back to the cottage and saw, at most, 6 people. You can't do that in Hawaii!! It was great for our dog, Wesley, who loves to retrieve sticks in the water and be able to run off leash. Our last night there, with family visiting, we cooked lobster in a pot of ocean water while watching the sunset by the fire we made in the fire pit. Doesn't get much better than that. Before, during, and after our stay, the hosts Don and Diane were in constant communication to make sure that we were completely happy with everything, and we were. We give this property and its hosts an enthusiastic 5 stars. Would definitely return!!

We spent two weeks at this amazing property and we had a great time. The cottage has all the comforts needed (small appliances, dishwasher, washer/dryer, board games, firepit, cable, wifi). There was lots of room for a family of four to stretch out in this cottage. The views of the ocean were amazing and the beach ranges from white sand to rocks. It is a beautiful location. There are lots of birds varying from blue jays, to various gulls to watch around the property. We also found lots of "mermaid tears", shells, and other fun finds on the beach. Don (the owner) checked in to make sure our stay was going well and was a pleasure from start to finish. Very happy with our two week stay with our two kids and pets at this great cottage. We had a fantastic long weekend Property was excellent and the communication with the owners was first class. I would not hesitate to recommend this property for a family vacation. We will be back again!!

This was a lovely place to relax and unwind. Don was a very gracious host who checked in every now and then to make sure we had everything we needed. The sunsets were spectacular!! We’ll be back next season for sure

Comfortable home from home, with the added advantage of being by the sea. It is peaceful with just the sounds of the sea and the birds, we had beautiful weather for most of our stay. Had plenty of evening walks on the beach with my daughter looking for sea glass. The dog loved it too!
