Return visit to this lovely chalet. It is very well equipped and comfortable. Ideal for a two family stay. Feels like home from home. Lots of extras provided, books, DVD's, board games, information folder with details of restaurants and local facilities. Great to relax in the large hot tub after a days skiing. Only ever hired a car when stayed here, to make it easy to access the huge Portes du Soleil ski area. Large Carrefour supermarket within a five minute drive. Definitely recommend it!

Great chalet every thing you need for a good holiday. Don't want to over do it as it will probably be booked when we want it next year 😀

This chalet is in a lovely area, is very well equipped and has very comfortable beds. Both the owners and the manager very helpful and accommodating. Lots of thoughtful touches, books, DVD's, local information folder with details of restaurants, facilities etc. Easy access to the large Porte du Soleil ski area, particularly for getting to the quieter Ardent telecabine to access Avoriaz. Had a fantastic weeks skiing!

I enjoyed a relaxing few days with friends and family in July. The Chalet is located in an amazing area. The short walk to the Bakery each morning was one of the many perks of the trip. We enjoyed relaxing in the garden and taking in our surroundings as well as exploring the area and hiking its many paths. The kids had great fun scrambling up the rocks of the nearby river. The locals are lovely, and I was able to practice my very basic French on a daily basis. Most places were accessible by foot or bike, but we also had a car and took a few short trips to Morzine and the lakes nearby. The chalet itself was fantastic, the bunk rooms were excellent for the kids to have their own space, the living area was great. Lots of books to read and DVDs to watch. Will definitely come back.

We had a great Christmas week at this chalet. It exceeded expectations versus the reviews and pictures we had seen. Very comfortable and well equipped on the inside and set in a very peaceful cul-de-sac. An easy 15-20min drive to get to the main lift networks. Suited more to people who are mainly looking to cook for themselves and stay in for the evening rather than visiting bars and restaurants every night. Great value for money versus other options we have seen - particularly because Portes du Soleil is such a fantastic all around resort.

The village of St Jean is perfectly placed for les Portes du Soleil and has a couple of nice restaurants and bars and a large Carrefour. It is only 10 minutes to les Gets, Lindarets etc and an hour from Geneva. The advert for the property is accurate and if anything undersells the chalet. The quality and layout are well thought through and there are no annoying issues we have had in other chalets for example parking, the extras are also all welcome such as the broadband, Playstation, books and games. We had a great week and recommend the chalet without hesitation.

La tete de l'elephant is a warm, spacious and very comfortable holiday chalet to stay in. The owners have thought very carefully about every room making it a real home from home experience with many additional features that you would n't necessarily expect from a holiday let. The lay out of the lounge makes a real cosy family area with the log burner as the focal point. The kitchen has every utensil you could possibly need. The under floor heating , a real luxury especially after a day on the slopes! Every window has a fabulous view and the garden area is an added bonus! St'Jean is within easy reach of Avoriaz, Morzine and Les Gets offering a variety of slopes to choose from. We will be booking La Tete next time we visit the region as it is by far the best holiday let we have stayed in.

We had a week in summer at the Elephants Head! We would usually go skiing in the Alps so a new experience for us to go in summer. Loads to do in the region, cycling, white water rafting, swimming, walking, ice hockey! etc etc. The property is brilliantly located, very convenient for Geneva airport, and convenient for lots of attractions in summer, and ski resorts in winter. Very spacious, beautifully furnished, a short walk into town for food and drinks in evening if you want to go out. It was so good we went back in winter! Check out the air horns, great for waking the kids up.

After going to 5 star ski chalets for over 10 years now, La tete de l'éléphant Chalet was just truly fantastic....Over the last 10 years I have been fortunate enough to stay in many beautiful place's across the Alps but the reason we keep coming back to the porte de soleil area is because of the absolute first class skiing, fun and good times we have had at the chalet. It has 5 bedrooms and is very nicely finished throughout in light pine. I would recommend La tete de l'éléphant ski chalet before any other chalet, In my opinion it is simply the best!
