One can spend hours browsing a variety of shops with handcrafted gifts and antiques, original paintings and hand-crafted jewellery. One can spend hours I exploring this quaint village which has maintained its ambiance of days gone by. There are daily walking tours, kayaking adventures, boat tours, and plays at the local Rising Tide Theatre, to say nothing of a variety of top notch restaurants to tempt one’s palette. Wildlife abounds with whales, dolphins, and sea otters in our waters while bald headed eagles and other birds soar above our cliffs. Moose can even be sited in early morning waking from an overnight sleep in our fields. Top hiking destinations of North America are situated within view of our deck: Skerwink Trail, Horse Chops, Gun Hill... toname a few. Puffins can be visited in the wild at their colony where they nest at nearby Elliston. In spring and early summer, gigantic icebergs can drift along the shoreline off Fort Point and frequently becoming trapped in the rocky bays and inlets that characterize our coastline. In those same areas one can see whales diving and bnreaching as they chase the Capelin, which is their main food source. These are experiences not to be missed! More
