Interaction with guestsWe are based on site at 67 High Street, the apartments are accessed via 4 Sun Lane Harpenden AL5 4ET. We will arrange to meet and greet and show you in to the apartment and ensure you are connected to the Wi Fi before we leave. Living locally we are always at hand should you have any requests during your stay. Nothing is to much trouble so please just ask. Regards Tony

Great host, peaceful, clean stay
You can tell a lot of thought and effort went into making Harpenden House a great experience for travelers. USB port and chargers everywhere, fans, heaters, extra paper and cleaning products and a good amount of kitchen supplies. The beds and bedding were fantastic, lots of free parking, and a great location in Harpenden- close to a park, high street and the train station. Additionally, Tony was the best property host I’ve ever dealt with- he was super responsive and accommodating. He spent hours on his Sunday working on a random internet issue that could’ve happened anywhere and ended up upgrading us to a suite with working internet when he needed a new part. All in all it was a great experience. I highly recommend Tony and Harpenden House.

My go-to stay in Harpenden!
Harpenden House is just what I was looking for during my stay in Harpenden! Right off the High Street and close to everything you need (no need for a car if you’re staying in Harpenden proper). The unit was clean, very nicely furnished and equipped with everything we need to enjoy a care-free stay. Tony McFarland is the nicest, most caring host! He not only helped me get to my daughter’s home in Harpenden, but checked in on our stay in the apartment, to make sure everything was as expected. The washer-dryer was a bonus for this spoiled American, since I didn’t want to bring too much clothing. I will definitely seek out Harpenden House again for my next sty since it’s so easy to get to London (without London prices).

Spacious batchelor unit
The apartment is very spacious for a batchelor unit. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well equiped and there was ample dishwashing tabs as well as washimg machine pod. There was a desk which came in handy as my daughter was doing homework in the afternoons

Fabulous
Brilliant place to stay would highly recommend perfect location to trains restaurant etc very comfortable Okka for breakfast zazas for dinner Tony was very responsive to all questions Everything was fabulous would definitely recommend

Visiting family over Christmas ...
We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was very comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed. It was so convenient for the Station and the many bars/restaurants Harpenden has to offer. Tony is so helpful too. Will definitely be back 😀

Great apartments, great location
Spent one week here on a trip from Canada to visit family. The apartment was immaculate, very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The location is excellent, on the high street in Harpenden with easy access to shops, restaurants and transport. This was my 3rd visit and I would definitely return and highly recommend.

Couldn't recommend highly enough
Really excellent place to stay in Harpenden. I stayed in two different apartments, and Tony was very helpful in arranging that, so that I could fit in with the remaining availability for the dates I needed. Everything was really clean, and all the essentials are kindly laid on to make your stay pleasant and easy. Sound insulation in both apartments was excellent, and everything has been well maintained and nicely decorated. Wonderful location, and couldn't have asked for a better arrangement for my two-week stay.

Love the apartment and the location!
Just a half block off the main street in Harpenden, the location is excellent. Easy walk to anywhere in town including the train station. The apartment is very nicely appointed with pretty much everything you might need for a week plus stay. Tony is great and always willing to make sure you are happy. This was my third stay at the Harpenden House and I will be back again for sure.

Convenient and a great apartment
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a two bed apartment (2 adults and 2 kids), the apartment was not small (bigger than I expected for a short term let in a town centre) and it had absolutely everything you could need. The bathroom especially was larger than I expected (apartment 3). It was clean, warm and comfortable. The apartment was remarkably quiet (both from outside noise and from the other apartments), so it felt peaceful even though a few steps from the high street - great location! It is convenient for high street/station/local parks. The car park is very tight to get in to (I had no issue but a larger car/nervous driver might) but the spaces themselves and turning space is plenty big enough. The ladies who cleaned each week were lovely, friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the sheets/towels were good quality. All in all - would very happily stay again and would recommend to friends.

Home away from home (but for real)
The apartment had everything we needed and more including a converted loft room for our eldest son. It was decorated very nicely and we appreciated that the management left ice lollies in the freezer for our arrival. It's the little things... Also a great location - just round the corner from Harpenden's delightful high street. We've already booked another stay for December!

About the neighbourhood
Harpenden is a thriving commuter town located half way between St Albans and Luton. Although it has some 30,000 residents and a growing number of small to medium sized businesses, Harpenden still retains a 'village' feel with its tree lined High Street, town greens, period cottages, and Common – 96.39 hectares of open space that supports cricket, football and Golf clubs whilst boasting a County Wildlife Site designation. The Town Centre offers eating establishments to cater for all tastes, bespoke shops and three supermarkets. There are two further shopping areas in Southdown and Batford. Residents can also enjoy the many attractions London has to offer, which is only a 25 minute train ride away by the Thameslink train service.
Getting around
You have the main bus route within a 1 minute walk from the apartments and the mainline railway station is a few minutes away which takes you direct in to London. The M1 motorway is a 2 mile drive away and London Luton Airport is a 10 minute drive from Harpenden.
