Where to start! Meadow View was just as the pictures depicted, and more! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wished we could have stayed for longer! A welcome hamper suitable for the Coeliacs among us was much appreciated, as was the beautiful and well-equipped kitchen and comfy beds (had the best sleeps!). We loved the suede recliners in the lounge and the sunny deck too! We had practically every meal out there; a super relaxing space for the whole family of adults. Teresa was easily contactable for any issues. The house location and the area in general was quiet, clean and felt extremely safe. The path at the end of the cul de sac was nice to walk along into Freshwater, where there is a butcher’s, Sainsbury’s local, a few charity and antique shops, a couple of cafes. A reasonably sized Tesco is also situated further down the road. Totland Bay is worthy of a walk or run along the promenade for some sunset seeking. The Waterside Restaurant is, as its name suggests, right on the water and does some reasonably priced food, with friendly staff. We enjoyed the walking paths, well signposted everywhere. We took the hike up Tennyson Downs, along to the Needles and finished with a dip in the water. Ventnor Botanic Gardens, the town itself and English Mediterranean Bay were a particular hit among us. Blakes’ kiosk hire out parasols and sun loungers for your convenience. Brighstone is also worth a visit for its quaintness, to hire bikes - if so inclined - and to pick up some supplies from the jam-packed, well stocked village store. A free car park allows you to walk down a path leading to the main road and over to another track leading to the coastal path for spectacular views over to Alum Bay, then down some steps to a sandy beach and another dip in the sea. We absolutely loved the house, location and the whole island, even the ferry ride, and would definitely come back again. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Meadow View is quite possibly the best holiday home we have stayed in and we have stayed in many over many years. It is spotlessly clean and has everything you might need for your stay. The garden is fabulous with plenty of seating and the views over the field beyond stunning. It is blissfully quiet - all you can hear are the birds singing. We were lucky enough to have excellent weather during our holiday so always came back to the garden. There are three very good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a bath and over shower and the other with shower only. On the first day we had an issue with the shower and Teresa sorted it out immediately. Super easy to contact and extremely helpful. Two lounges too - one up and one down. The whole area is so beautiful and nowhere seems too far. We had a lovely holiday and would definitely like to return to Meadow View.

We had 2 weeks at Meadow View, Totland, our second holiday with West Wight Cottages and the first at this property. Meadow View is a spacious detached dormer bungalow in an excellent location for walks and touring further by car of by bus from the bottom of the hill. It is well equipped with good quality fittings and very clean. The terrace is a bonus with countryside views. Teresa, the property manager is extremely helpful and efficient and responds readily and quickly to any queries.

A bijou and beautifully renovated retreat in the heart of West Wight, Meadow View is a well-appointed and extremely comfortable property, and with quality fixtures and fittings it is ideal for a relaxing holiday. A delightful terrace leads to a sizable garden with views of the meadow beyond. A most tranquil setting where only birdsong and rustling leaves break the silence. Wonderful, clean, sweet air and the clearest of night skies filled with stars. A most restorative spot with every comfort. Theresa manages this property extremely well, delivering high standards of cleanliness and exceptionally helpful administration with fast response.

When my wife and I arrived we were completely bowled over. The location is perfect towards the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and the rear garden even has horses in the meadow at the end! The property itself is immaculate, spotlessly clean and very well appointed. There was only the two of us staying however it could accommodate six adults with ease. Kitchen/diner was spacious and well laid out and included everything you could need for catering etc. The downstairs sitting area was comfortable (including reclining 2 seater sofa) and overlooked the rear garden. Also downstairs was a good size bathroom, a double (king size ) bedroom and a further twin bedroom. These bedrooms are of a good size. Upstairs is a super master bedroom suite with dressing area and en suite shower room which has a great (and powerful) shower. Loads of wardrobe hanging space and drawers. Across the landing from the master bedroom is a second large sitting area with tv and comfy sofas which would be ideal if you had teenagers with you and needed serparate sitting space! Outside (as already mentioned) the rear garden grass area slope down to a meadow at the bottom. Outside of the double doors from the lounge area is a paved area alongside a large decked sitting area (table and chairs provided). This is a great area for enjoying the sunshine as it faces a southerly direction. At the front of the house there is ample off road parking (certainly 2 cars possibly 3). The whole situation is very peaceful. The area of Totland itself is a fantastic location. The bungalow is a 10 minute (easy) walk to Totalnd Bay and Colwell Bay is approximately another 15 minutes walk on from that. You must visit both! Freshwater Bay is around 30 minute walk from bungalow and the Needles/Alum Bay is around an hour and 10 minutes walk. Totland has very useful Costcutter and Freshwater (5 minute drive) has small Sainsburys and large Co Op. Overall a great place to stay and lots to do. Teresa at Westwight Cottages is brilliant and really helpful and we are really hoping that we can book with her again for next year.

We stayed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage had everything we needed and is in such a lovely location. The horses in the bottom field were a great added bonus! The cottage was so comfortable and It is clear that the owners have ensured that good quality beds, sofas, bedding and towels have been used which make such a huge difference. We would stay here again and would definitely recommend to others. Parking is easy with plenty of space and the property is close to the local shops, beach etc...

Meadow View has been beautifully renovated to a high standard and I cannot recommend it enough. It is very comfortable, well equipped, spacious and spotlessly clean. There are some lovely beaches, a shop and a good chip shop nearby. We were left a lovely welcome hamper on our arrival which was very much appreciated. We will definitely be returning next year!!

Many of the quieter properties in Totland are centred around the unmade Uplands Road. Your welcome pack will guide you on the best route so you only have to travel around 80m on the unmade road which is easily negotiable by driving slowly. The access road to the property itself is via a gravel drive. Definitely worth it for the peace and views from this glorious property.

What a find! I cannot rate this beautiful detached chalet bungalow highly enough. It has everything you could want, modern stylish decor and high quality furnishings. The garden with decking and lawned area backs onto a meadow. It’s position means it is quiet yet only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Our family of 3 generations had a lovely holiday here, great value for money.
