Sunset View is a bright, comfortable first-floor flat in a listed Georgian/Victorian building on Whitstable's fashionable Harbour Street At the centre of the town's independent shops, Sunset View is three minutes walk from the beach, a couple of minutes from several restaurants including the world-famous Wheelers of Whitstable and literally at the heart of the independent shops. The flat has its own private entrance, off-road parking and free Wi-Fi. The comfortable lounge is furnished with a mix of modern and vintage pieces. The double bedroom is quietly situated at the back of the flat with an ensuite bathroom which has been completely refitted for summer 2019. My partner and our 6month old baby stayed here for a very sunny August weekend. The location is perfect, in amongst all the quirkey shops and restaurants and literally minutes from the beach. The flat was well equipped and had a homely feel...very comfy bed!...More

About the neighbourhood
Whitstable is a popular and well-known centre of restaurants, independent shops and seaside living. There are great walks along the shore a couple of minutes from your door. Make the most of the Kent countryside. Walk or cycle the Crab and Winkle way to Canterbury where the Cathedral, despite the queues, is well worth a visit. The spring and summer bring regular events, starting with Mayday when the traditional parade starts right outside your windows and then seeing Whitstable Harbour Day and the famous and hugely busy Oyster Festival. The weather is often beautiful in the autumn - before we moved here we always came in November. And, December brings lovely displays in Harbour Street's independent shops.
Getting around
It's very easy to get to Whitstable and round the local area. There are frequent trains to neighbouring towns and there is a good bus service, also serving all towns. If you are coming by train, we recommend the Southeastern trains app for its easy use and comprehensive updates. Bikes can be hired locally If you are driving, we can help you with the best routes and you will find your car parking space is a valuable part of your time with us.
