Charming stone and slate Cottage set in walled cottage gardens with it's own private courtyard and parking. The cottage is attached to the owner's house- the School Master's House built in 1843.

Situated in the Northumbrian village of Scremerston one mile from the golden, sandy Cocklawburn beach and the Lindisfarne Nature Reserve. There are numerous country and coastal walks nearby as well as the Coast and Castle cycle route and Goswick golf course. 2 miles to the north is the Elizabethan walled town of Berwick upon Tweed with supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Holy Island is just a 10 minute drive to the south. Just a little further is Bamburgh- the ancient capital of Northumberland, Seahouses for boat trips to the Farne Islands and Alnwick Castle and Garden....

What a fantastic find! Set in a peaceful, quiet and relaxing location yet all the tourist attractions are within easy reach. We arrived at the cottage it was lovely. Very pleased we had booked it for 3 nights. The cottage had everything you needed if you wanted to eat in. We walked along the coastal path to Spittal. Lovely walk straight from the cottage. Lovely bedroom & bathroom on the mezzanine level. Would recommend for other couples that want to explore...

The property is located in the old part of a quiet village that is close to Cocklawburn beach where there are miles of glorious golden sand for walking. There are two cafes within walking distance open 7 days a week for breakfasts, lunches, coffees and cake- the one at Borewell Farm and one with an an outdoor shop selling lots of items for holiday makers. It is possible to walk into Berwick upon Tweed.
