ON THE GROUND FLOOR THERE IS:- Kitchen/Dinning area: Spacious and well equipped open plan kitchen with dining area and seating for 10. Lounge: Spacious and comfy lounge with Clean view log burning stove, Flat-screen TV, DVD and CD player, & full glass door leading to enclosed garden with BBQ and seating with panoramic views over open countryside and the Peak District National Park. Entrance hall: with stone flag floor and original stone granary steps leading to first floor. Utility room: with Belfast sink and washing machine. Downstairs toilet room: with washbasin. ON THE FIRST FLOOR THERE IS:- 1 x 5ft (King-size) bed + adult size bunk beds with en-suite shower, 1 x Double bed with en-suite shower, 1 x Twin beds, Family bathroom with shower over. ON THE SECOND FLOOR THERE IS:- 1 x Twin beds Full character of original barn retained with quality conversion with exposed wooden beams, A-frames, brick & stone work. OUTSIDE THERE IS: Enclosed garden area which leads onto the wildflower meadow. BBQ and bench seating for summer alfresco dining Panoramic views over open countryside and the Peak District National Park Doorstep footpaths to 2 OS map trails (Staffordshire Moorlands Walk and Churnet Valley Way) which also join the Tiitesworth Reservoir circular nature trail which also has visitor centre, shop, cafe and excellent childrens playground at the amenity area as well as water based activities on the water. In November 2011 we won the 'MOST ECO-FRIENDLY HOLIDAY LET' category in the 'Fields of Opportunity' national competition and then went on to become the OVERALL WINNER out of all 5 categories The greener features of the barn are carefully incorporated so that you hardly know they are there and require no expertise or knowledge. Central heating comes from the ground source heat pump and solar panels. Rainwater harvesting system works for all grey water. . Timbers replaced in the conversions were cut from local woods, and we have planted 20 acres of new woodland. The traditional lime plastered walls are painted in Earthbound natural Clay paint, the windows are all made from wood and painted with organic linseed oil paints, Sheeps wool insulation is used throughout the building, and natural clay aggregate forms the floor insulation in the limestone floor. There are 4 herb borders from which guests can enjoy and pick their own herbs. The property has been inspected by VISIT ENGLAND'S ACCOMMODATION GRADING SCHEME and have been awarded 4 STARS as well as a coveted GOLD AWARD Due to the type of property and location the property is not suitable for what is known as 'house party venue' or for 'louder' hen or stag parties - we can recommend other nearby places if you are after this type of accommodation.More
