Patchwork Cottage is a delightful Victorian end of terrace property situated just off a quiet pedestrian walkway in the market town of Kingsbridge in South Devon. This historic bustling town is located on the head of the estuary and boasts many independent shops, restaurants and a cinema which is housed in the historical old town hall. Only a stone's throw away by car some of Devon's finest beaches, Thurlestone sands, Bantham and Bigbury on Sea as well as the pretty coastal town of Salcombe renown for its annual sailing regatta, making Patchwork Cottage an ideal base. This two bedroom cottage sleeps four guests and is situated next to Duncombe Park, perfect for a child and dog friendly stay. For cosy nights in, the living room has a delightful wood burner or for warmer summers evenings, enjoy alfresco dining on the outside decking area. This two pet friendly cottage has a walled garden full of shrubs and herbaceous plants and enjoys views out over the green space of the park and rooftops. An ideal town stay but nestled away for peace and tranquility. Ground Floor ~ Living/Dining Room: Smart TV (see below for channels) Blue Ray/DVD player, Wifi, wood burner. Kitchen: Flavel gas hob/electric oven range cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher (access to decking) First Floor (up 11 steps) ~ Bedroom 1: Super King size bed (6') Can be made up to two 3 foot beds on request, wardrobe, chest of drawers. Bedroom 2: Two Single (3') beds, built in clothes rail. Family Bathroom: Bath with electric shower over, washbasin and WC Garden ~ There is a decked area with garden furniture within an enclosed walled terrace with plants and shrubs and further seating. Parking: Unfortunately there is no parking directly at this property, however the nearest car park is only 100 yards away. No permit is provided but can be purchased from Kingsbridge Tourist Information Centre, located in the town square and costs £40 per week. Free on road parking is available around Kingsbridge subject to availability. Changeover Day: Saturday Arrival 3:00pm - Departure 10:00am Security Deposit: £150 Refundable or Damage Waiver: At the checkout you can choose to pay the £5 per person Good housekeeping deposit waiver instead Pets Welcome: Maximum of 2 well behaved dogs: £25 per pet per week Power and Heat: Gas Central heating. Wood burner in the living room (please provide your own wood) Bedding and Linen: Bed linen and towels are provided (please bring your own beach towels). Baby Equipment: Cot and High Chair provided, sorry no stair gate due to wall width restrictions. Shop: 0.2 ml Tesco Pub: 0.3 ml The Seven Stars Notes: No Smoking. WiFi Provided. Good Mobile Signal. Sorry Car Park Permit is not provided. The smart TV is not connected to the main arial so provides online TV services only. There is access to BBC iPlayer, ITV hub, All 4, Netflix, Demand 5, Amazon video/TV which you may require you own login access for. Please provide you own wood for the woodburner. The property is Victorian and as such retains many original features especially the bath and wash basin in the bathroom. More

Kingsbridge is an idyllic base for discovering the South Hams area, whether it be the coast or countryside, beautiful estuaries or simply enjoy the numerous shops, restaurants, cafes open all year round. The beautiful estuary is just a stones throw from this property ideal for a lovely stroll and watching the numerous boats, water activities such as paddleboarding and taking the river ferry into Salcombe, which is only a six mile journey by car.
Getting around
Kingsbridge is well-connected by bus and coach services, with frequent local bus routes. The Brittany Ferry Port and the Main Line Train Station are both located at Plymouth which is approximately a 45 minutes drive away and Exeter International Airport approximately a 1 hour drive. Access to the M5 is also. From the A38 at Exeter.
