It is perfectly situated for any type of holiday but is particularly suited to those who appreciate outdoor activities and access to the water, at a reasonable price. It can provide easy access to those interested in kayaking, sailing or waterspouts. Drake House is a semi detached house (adjoining Nelson House), set within a purpose built complex comprising other bunkhouse/family accommodation, a Watersports facility, a Cafe, an 8 acre woodland and a versatile outdoor play area (features 5 a side football, basketball, climbing frames and a table tennis table) that guests can utilise. The property overlooks the Milford Haven estuary and is situated on the upper reaches where the famous naval vessel, HMS Warrior, was moored. Access to the public slipway is only 300 metres away from the front door. Drake and Nelson House House are at the rear of the complex with the estuary views and beech hedging to the front. To the rear of the property is the outdoor activity area. There is also a 'stone circle of Preseli blue stone' nestled at the front of the house. This is a sheltered spot which would provide an area for relaxing, safe play for children, barbecue and drinks at any time of day. The adjoining woodland can be explored and has views over the western arm of the estuary. There is a picnic area within the wood including a 'giant's' table. These facilities are communal and will be shared with any other guests who book the adjoining properties. There is wifi in the cafe area but it is currently not extending into the accommodation. Drake House is being offered as a holiday let for up to 20 people. Downstairs comprises 1 double bedroom, a room with 4 bunk beds and 2 shower rooms. A second double bedroom and a room with 4 bunks is upstairs together with a large communal lounge/dining area and kitchen. There is a third shower room upstairs. The accommodation itself is self catering. The kitchen is basic, clean and has all the necessary utensils. There is also a cafe on site for snacks, cakes and coffee and purchase of provisions. In summary, this is an ideal space for exploring Pembrokeshire's beautiful coastline and places of interest. It provides a place to stay away from, but within easy access to, busier areas such as Tenby and St Davids. There is easy access to a main road and Folly Farm, Heatherton, Oakwood theme park and Bluestone are all within a 20-30 minute drive. Pembroke Castle has special events on throughout the week during school holidays catering for younger children. More

We stayed as a group of four families, basic functional accommodation, the property was clean through out. What made the stay for us was the watersport activity centre right on your doorstep. There was kayaking, SUP boards and canadian canoes with good quality equipment. Really recommend the boat trip, you get to see a really peaceful and tranquil part of the river. There is also a indoor climbing wall which was well supervised by Joe. The is also a communal garden and woodland to keep you all occupied. Steve and Jo are great hosts they took care of the kids activities and really made our watersports activities alot of fun. The kitchen is on the small side, there is a big large table for large groups the lounge is part of the diner, fairly, well stocked equipment wise. The block could do with a upgrade, there was not much space to dry wet clothes and wet suits as there were small damp spots in the bathroom - however - this is post lockdown. If you are a group of several families with kids or a large group of who are looking for activites by the river then this is a great spot. close to the popular beaches too. Delicous fish and chip shop Rowlies down the road for a fish supper night!

Simple youth hostel type accommodation which was clean and functional. Lovely setting, near beaches and castles! Blessed with many nearby supermarkets! No Wi-fi in the building but at cafe area lower down on site. Kitchen a little lacking in equipment if cooking for a large number. We enjoyed the area. Shame the weather wasn’t better! Helpful owner.

The house was clean and had everything we needed for our weekend. We would certainly book it again. There was a garden so you can eat outside if you had fabulous weather like we did. Each bedroom was of a good size had a sink and these were 3 shower rooms with toilets. There were 2 double rooms and the others had 4 beds (2 bunk beds) and there was a large lounge/dining room and kitchen.
