Get away from it all to the peace and tranquility of the Dyfi valley in Mid Wales on the southern edge of Snowdonia, within easy reach of the beautiful West Wales coast beaches.

The surrounding area is rural, safe and peaceful, the only sounds are of birdsong, the mountain stream and the occasional bleeting of sheep on the hills behind the cottage.
Bryn Uchel Uchaf is a traditional farm cottage dating back to the 1700s. Bryn Uchel Uchaf has been in the family for over 40 years and has countless happy memories.

We took on the cottage when we got married and went about renovating it, taking it right back to basics and both updating in terms of comforts but also rediscovering hidden character.

Can Complain the cottage its all good views... But for 2 nights £32 Electricity bill was bit step even if you turn on all the stuff in for whole week it wont be that much.... + £9 Charge for 30 mins late exit from the...More

Electricity is charged at cost, so that guests who use less pay less and not subsidise others. Check out is clearly communicated to be 11am and the cleaner has a lot of other properties to service and that is just his rate for his time....More

Machynlleth is a lovely market town, with a market every Wednesday. It's an interesting town full of independent shops and cafes.

Aberdovey is a beautiful seaside holiday destination, 20 miles away, with boats moored in the estuary and harbour, a golf course and some good pubs to eat and drink in.

The area around MacBryn Uchel Uchaf is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. Mountain bikers can take advantage of the Mach 1, 2 and 3 trails and the Cli-machx trail as well as the famous Coed y Brenin tracks. A little further afield are the Nant-yr-Arian forest biking trails near Aberystwyth.
