This cabin was pretty much exactly as advertised, except it was very dated. Only problem was it came with too many rules that were not expected; see photos. I did not feel free to fully relax and enjoy the cabin due to the excess rules and the tone in which they were presented. I was always worried I would use something I wasn’t supposed to or move something out of its place that would upset the owners. The linens were so old that they were pilling badly and the elastic was completely worn out. Since the sheets were “gritty” feeling and wouldn’t stay fitted on the mattress it made for a very uncomfortable 7 nights sleep. One night the power went out and we received a call almost immediately from the owner to check to if we were ok, and to let us know what would not work without power, which was appreciated. Overall we did have a pretty good time at the cabin but it could have been better.

My family stayed here to attend my niece’s graduation party at nearby Dancing Bear Lodge. The Lady Slipper cabin was perfect for our needs—three bedrooms, two baths, a well-stocked kitchen, living room with fireplace, and a wonderful outdoor hot tub. As advertised, this cabin is away from everything, nestled in the woods. It is convenient to not only the Lodge but all of the amenities of the Smoky Mountains National Park. The proprietors were very helpful and attended to all our needs.

We have Sayed here twice and both times we were beyond pleased. It's is a very well kept cabin with all the comforts of home. Looking forward to many more stays here.
