It was a very secluded getaway for me my husband. We enjoyed every moment of it especially waking up to the window view in the mornings.
The only thing is, it was a very good thing we had 4 wheel drive especially when its wet to get to the top of this mountain.

157 Windancer was exactly as described in the verbal listing. The owner was very easy to communicate with,and she was very responsive to our inquiries. The views from the deck were amazing! We were treated to an evening visit from a young black bear. Very exciting and we got to photograph him from inside!

Beautiful cabin with beautiful views! The pictures...
Beautiful cabin with beautiful views! The pictures do not do this cabin justice. The hot tub is very private with views of the smokies. Hot tub was super clean and very well maintained. The king size bed is very soft. Spoke to the owner of this place and Alice was a super sweet lady! Would definitely stay here again.

This cabin was even better than expected! We enjoyed the secluded, peaceful and relaxing lodging with unbelievable views! It provided a wonderful stay after venturing about in the GSMNP. Highly recommend!!

Everything was exactly as described. We had an absolutely beautiful time at the cabin. I highly recommend this place. The only thing I would have liked was a couple more pans for cooking, but we made it work. Townsend is magical ✨

The view from this property is amazing! The cabin itself is some what dated and needs some tlc. Nothing major just many light bulbs out, shower faucet is tricky, all pool sticks were broken in some way, ceiling fan in living room didn't work, and some railings outside only had one nail securing them. It was nice to have two bathrooms. The master suite and a half bath are upstairs. The pool table, full bath, kitchen and living downstairs. Make sure to bring salt and pepper as the kitchen is equipped with serving and cookware only. We arrived at 330 to check in but due to storms our check in was delayed for cleaning so we explored Wears Valley for an hour. Overall the cabin was mostly clean and the bed was comfortable but the sheets do not stay on well. The hot tub worked well and was a nice amenity. This is a steep location and tight road so be prepared. I have a suburban and its was tight navigating the resort roads. The pool looked clean and was open. For the price paid, it was a good, peaceful stay. The view makes it worth the minor issues we had while there.

We could not get up the steep inclines to the cabin because of the rain. 3 people tried and failed, we finally made it up the 3rd night. I talked to the property manager and she said the description said in bad weather you might need 4 wheel drive. I don’t have 4 wheel drive and would not have rented this cabin if I had known that. It would have been nice if someone could’ve told us, and I don’t mean in the fine print. We will NEVER use this property again, and do not recommend it for anyone without 4 wheel drive or anyone who is not able to navigate steep inclines and stairs.
We had to go to a motel the first 2 nights and would have appreciated some kind of compensation for the inconvenience. I paid a lot of money for just a one night stay in the cabin. The property manager offered to take us up to the cabin but then we would have been stuck there. Same thing if other people got us to the cabin, we would not have been able to walk back down because it was too wet and slippery to navigate walking up and down the inclines.

Cabin as depicted. Great view. Clean. Host responsive. Road up to cabin can get pretty steep. No issue going up in sedan while dry, but had to take multiple attempts after a rain. On last morning, water was out due to lightning striking water pump. No one's fault. Just part of staying in a cabin.
